Same goes to all the other regulars THAT WENT THROUGH ALL OF THIS SAME CRAP LAST YEAR...
Lehrke is still the best, nothing has changed, except for his experience and grit. Quit beating this obvious topic to death and talk about something else(like McMorrow being 2nd best?) for christ sake...

Caugh caugh???? Great spelling Sioux recruit? I hope you knowledge of the game is better than your spelling. The bottom line is that Lehrke is a non factor for the season! He may score 60-70 goals but is won't be enough to get his team past the second round of the section tournament. Bottom line is he and Park are a non factor. Never have been a factor and never will be a factor. Sorry to break the news to ya. good player but a below average team.
But still running time.Undercover Hockey Lover wrote:E70....Warriors 6 - 0 over LOW so they didn't cover your 9...shots were 43 to 16. Sounded like Warroad pretty much put away their A game after the first so there's the reason it wasn't double digits. At one point early second shots were 32 to 5. 'nuff said.

As much of a factor or more than Crookston, Low, or Bemidji is. Have to wait and see how they do against EGF, and TRF.Flin Flon wrote:SiouxRecruit wrote:Yea maybe they will shut him down like last year...caugh "2 goals" caugh...and hes only gotten that much better after doing quite well in elites...but im sure you haev a good reason of why you think that?Wave Fan 68 wrote: yes we will see and lehrke will get shut down no pts.

You need to get serious, if he really did put up 30 pts in that Fall League, then i doubt he will be shut down very much this season. Could it be that in a game like that he was trying to play the role of set up man???SB24 wrote:So PR isn't going to play Lehrke against Walker because they aren't good enough? With PR's schedule does that mean that Lehrke gets to play in about 2 games this year? haha. Get serious here, he got shut down against Walker!

I know park played 4 lines against Walker for some of the game...and when they play lower caliber teams, their best players arnt out there to score goals..they create plays to make park that much better as a team.. example lehrke
In the long run for THIS season I dont think Lehrke is too worried about socring tons of points with lots of goals...I may be wrong but thats just what im guessing...

I could be wrong here in my statement but did he not sign a D1 letter of intent to go to SCSU? I dont think he has much else to prove to anybody in HS. Hopefully as a team PR can prove that they are better than a first round team.SiouxRecruit wrote:I know park played 4 lines against Walker for some of the game...and when they play lower caliber teams, their best players arnt out there to score goals..they create plays to make park that much better as a team.. example lehrke![]()

It's a good question, Crookston has been starving for goals since the beginning of Bittner's first tour as coach. For those not familiar with the timeline here, that would specifically be the 1987-88 season. To date, the class of '88 has not been replaced or even remotely matched in numbers or talent. As a result, there has been a long, long, long, long, long, long run of offensively deficient-grind it out teams. This year's team may very well fit that profile again, but for one night "the cupeth overflowed".the mullet wrote:Agreed, moving on, Shanty how on earth did your boys put up that many goals the other night, No offense, just not exactly a crookston-like score.
As an optimist, I think this group could light up the scoreboard a bit if the pups continue to develop. Now I know, they scored 10 against RLF. To me, it doesn't matter, I've seen Pirate teams that could play 5 on 0 against the other teams goalie for three periods and still only win 2-0. I think this team finally could have a couple of finishers in the lineup. Time will tell.
