Any team in state has a shot at the state title, some have a better chance, but anything can happen in state. I think the outcome of this weekend will be very interesting.

Wrong, not every team in the state tourney has a shot a winning the title. Moorhead, pequot and Rochester have 0-1% shot.

Now, dont get me wrong, if Wayzata (home ice), Blaine and Ep Red get lost on the way to rink Friday, those teams have a chance but then I would give it to Chisago.

Hmm...not every team has a shot? I believe every team CAN win their first game along with their second and third to make them a state champion. They give every team a chance, they dont just say to one, "Oh well we dont think your good enough, so you have no way of getting to the championship."

we will see how my theory unfolded Sunday evening. If I am incorrect in my theory, I will be the 1st one on here to admit to my lack of knowledge with this topic and congatulate the team that pulled it off.

Dabears,

looking to go "politically correct" on my arse. CMON what did you do with the real Dabears.

I will say that Whitebear Orange is a nice dark horse pick and is only team that could surprise. They will have a tough road though having to beat Blaine and then my pick to win it Wayzata Blue.

I realize the odds of the weaker teams pulling off three upsets and winning it is 1 in a million, but I was just pointing out that everyone has a shot no matter what. Even if it would be something bigger than 1980...every team has their shot at the title.

Northern bb1 teams

Post by blueblood »

Like I said they (Spudville) had no chance. The northern bb1 teams went a combined 0-4 in the state tourney and got outscored 23-4.

My suggestion to future D15 and D16 teams:

Come down and play in some of the city tourneys such as White Bear, Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, Blaine, Burnsville, Anoka, just to name a few. You may get schooled, but you'll know what you're up against come region and state time. Plus, you will get a chance to scout the teams you don't play.

Why do you think teams like Edina, EP, WBL, Wayzata, Tonka, Chaska, and Centennial go up north to play in Duluth, Grand Rapids, Moorhead, and TRF? The answer:

Because they want to play the teams that they could face in March.
