I ended up rescuing Empire from his ticket conundrum and went to the game with my boys and a friend. A good start for the Twins, I was a bit worried that they'd come out flat but they knocked the ball around pretty good and made some nice defensive plays. Johann could've been better but he made the pitches when he needed to and he usually takes a few starts to get things cranking.
Morneau had some terrific at bats, the home run in the first at bat, then shooting a high outside fastball past the third baseman after fouling off a few pitches and later pulling a pitch that it looked like he got fooled on over the rightfielder into the baggy. Castillo also had a good night going 3 for 5.
On the other hand, Rondell White had a rough night at the plate, maybe I'm wrong about this guy. He did make a good catch out in left field though. Bartlett went 0 for 4, I frankly don't remember much about his at bats but from the hitting chart it looks like he tried to pull everything.
Miguel Tejada had a decent night at the plate, going 2-4 with a run and a RBI and made a good play to throw out Mauer early in the game, but he got picked off of first, was charged with an error on admittedly a tough play and late in the game bounced a routine throw to first that Huff was able to dig out. Kind of a spotty night for a guy that's supposed to anchor his team.
A fun night at the Dome overall, I thought of packerboy as I watched Radke throw out the first pitch.

One other thought about last night. Cuddyer looked absolutely clueless at the plate.

I did watch a reply of the game on MLB.tv this morning, and the throw back in did look a little weak, but the turf really slowed it down, and I was in row 18.... but it was a rocket - believe me!
Packerboy, I told my son that Tyner would've got to that one standing up, but I do give White credit for the effort. White was a .290 lifetime hitter before he got to the Twins, but he hasn't looked like one in a Twins uniform.

Anybody agree that idiots who run on the field should be tasered? Or put in public stocks outside the stadium before the following game? Or publicly flogged? The problem seems to be getting worse, I'd like to see them do something proactive to discourage it before we have incidents like they've had in Chicago.

In general, yes I do. I think the time spent in the stocks and number of "flogs" (is that the correct use of the term?) should double if you're retarded enough to do it when YOUR TEAM'S CLOSER COMES INTO THE GAME!!! What an idiot... Can you possibly break up momentum any worse than that?! I was a little disappointed that so many in the crowd were cheering that putz. There were a few boo's, but for the most part, people were egging him on. Everybody should have jumped on that guy like he was Chuck Knoblauch.
And the last time I saw this happen it was near the end of the game with Joe Mauer coming up to bat and the Twins behind. Obviously these guys are many, many sandwiches short of a picnic and probably numerous beers past legally drunk.
