I watched Lapic,Schammel and Voigt last year. Lapic is the best open ice individual player by far. Schammel is the best offensive zone play maker. He has great vision and hands. For those into stats, NP plays a weaker schedule with a more offensive style hockey. RW plays tougher schedule with a more defensive lower scoring system. Lapic, Schammel and Voigt are all great players who should really mature this year and get plenty of looks. LIke to see them play on a line together sometime.

Most dedicated? I am sure there are others that are equally as dedicated.

Speculation
Maybe you can do a Jason Davis deal and rent an R.V. and survey all of the hockey lads in hockey land. Then you can come back with facts.

That was a huge strech to say that he is the most dedicated player in the state cause you have no idea what other kids do but it wouldnt be a stretch to say the kid is one of the most dedicated cause ive heard many stories about what the kid will do and i can't imagine many people could be more dedicated than him but i'm sure there are many who are just as dedicated as him
Explain to me these stories im still not convinced. They way it sounds might as well give him the Herb Brooks award before official practice starts. That was a huge strech to say that he is the most dedicated player in the state cause you have no idea what other kids do but it wouldnt be a stretch to say the kid is one of the most dedicated cause ive heard many stories about what the kid will do and i can't imagine many people could be more dedicated than him but i'm sure there are many who are just as dedicated as him
I hope Lapic isnt just another Ambroz from a couple years back because I played against Ambroz and I rarely saw him in the defensive zone he spent his hole time in the neutral ice area waiting for the puck and trying to do this fancy 1 on 1 stuff, and he had a lot of those. Yes I know he played in the USHL but he didnt suprise me at all.

Lapic is a two way player. My only knock on him, he should use that big body to hit more. That will take his game to the next level.

this is a day in the life of tyler lapic, during the school year he will wake up at 5 in the morning before school shoot 300 pucks then he runs hills with ankle weights and a bag of pucks on his back, then during lunch he will eat for 5 min then spend the rest of lunch lifting, at night he will shoot 300 more pucks run more hills then do about 150 sit ups and push ups and jump rope till thge cows come in and then after they leave again, after games if he isnt satisfied with how he did he will skate until he literally gets pulled off the ice by his dad. For the short time he was at New Prague Troy Ward said that Lapics after game workouts reminded him of Jaromire Jagr. This is a kid that told he girlfriend he didnt want to go to the snowball dance with her because that was time when he could be skateing. As i am typeing this it is 10:53 and i would bet 100 dollars that lapic is in his garage shooting.

Dont worry Ted Turner just called and said that he wants me to write a book and he will finance it, it's gonna be three chapters long first chapter will be about jimmy kilpatrick and what he used to eat for breakfast, the second is about different hairstyles of matt ambroz, and the third is about Lapic. It should be on shelves in time for the holidays

OK, so he his working hard to make himself a perimeter player.
When is he going to use that big frame of his and hit people??? When is he going to use that big body and go to the net, ala Parish???
Let's see, big guy goes into corners but hesitates to hit people and won't crash the net. The kid has the tools. He needs to play a bit more like he is pissed off.
Frankly, there are plenty of perimeter people that are affraid to hit and go to the net. That doesn't seperate you from the rest of the bunch.
Keep in mind, college coaches have a lot of choices.
His style would not make him an impact player at the next level.
hky25, Wow, that's a lot of Lourdes names (or should I say Mayo, Winona, Stewartville transplants). Are they going to be that good? I'm not intending that as a wisecrack. I went to watch them at the Wal-mart tourney (Champions) and I thought they look good but not phenomenal. Best of luck on their season (after football of course).
Pretty good list by hky25. Lourdes does have a bunch of talented Juniors. Now whether they are good enough to lead them to the X is something we will have to wait and see.Rocket78 wrote:hky25, Wow, that's a lot of Lourdes names (or should I say Mayo, Winona, Stewartville transplants). Lourdes has a lot of talent. All players on that list are playing elite hockey this fall. As far as the Walmart tourney that's summer hockey. I talked to someone who went over to La Crescent to see how Red Wing looked. He said Schammel's line did all the scoring and that was without seniors Halvorson, Kesti(Elite1), juniors Noeson, Roschen(both Elite2) and senior goalie Foot. Section 1a has a lot of good teams this year.

You mean all of the Lourdes players listed are playing Elite II.chisel wrote:Lourdes has a lot of talent. All players on that list are playing elite hockey this fall. All Swedish, no Finish
Alex Larson from Faribault had 26 assists as a sophomore, if he can bury this year he could have 50 points. Which would consider him a top Junior in this section.
To get in the Lapic arguement I played against him and his size and speed are something else, but you guys are right he is vulnerable to physical play.

Voigt- Lourdes: scored 11 goals against better than .500 teams Definitely played the toughest schedule.
Kesti-Red Wing: scored 1 goal against better than .500 teams. 19 total goals 34 points.
Schammel- Red Wing...he is the best. Scored 11 goals against top 20 teams
Lapic- New Prague...scored 4 goals against better than .500 teams and 3 against top 10 teams. 23 goals, 44 total points.
#1) Kesti is listed as on Team Southeast.
#2) He's a Senior, so he shouldnt even be mentioned on this topic..
