Checking in girls hockey

The thing that bothers me about the girls game is how sometimes the stronger girl is penalized more. You know the scenario ... coincidental contact, girl standing penalized. Two girls tangled up, stonger girl breaks free, other girl goes down. Penalty. I know it's hard to call, but when your daughter's the strong one... you see it more often.

My daughter would vote for checking in the girls game.

I have been to plenty of girls hockey games, at least 30-35 a year, and i would say the average rate of a girl being penalized for checking is around or less than 1!!!!

OPEN ICE hitting will lead to more girls being hurt, period. I have seen girls that are 6'1'' and girls that are 5'1''. That sounds like a disaster, and dont compare it to boys hockey, get out of this dream world, it is like comparing apples to oranges, may have similar shape but are very very different.

I agree 1000%...I have seen the LITTLEST girls execute devastating checks, albeit illegally...
