Tell me please. What are the HOME ICE RINKS for each Rochester team. THANKSgoldy313 wrote:The rink is one of the nicer ones in Minnesota to watch a high school hockey game, of course Century hasn't exactly been packing the fans in this year which leads to an empty building. Add to that over at Graham Arena Mayo plays JM and Lourdes plays Owatonna so casual hockey fan probably won't be at the Rec Center so you won't have to worry about getting a good seat.
WBL is the clear favorite, but Century has improved. If Ewing plays well, it might be close, but the Panthers can't seem to score.
WBL 3
Century 1
Good call SEnut. WBL pulls one out vs Century. Must say Century started to roll and controll 3/4 of the game. WBL goals were on a bad bounce off D's skate, Short handed 2 vs 1, and a garbage goal towards the end. Century had lots of oppertunites, one Penatly Shot, a break-away that hit pipe, and some 2 v1 and 3 v 2 that they couldn't convert. Reffs were questionable at times, but can't blame them. Century, if they continue to play like they are, will be a team to watch come sections.

I hope your kidding. White bear dominated the game. Shots on goal were 44-16 white bear. Centruy's first goal was garbage two people just slid into the puck and it went in. White Bear's first goal was tipped in front of the net by Sam Swanson not in off a defense mens skate. White Bear hit 3 pipes and a million and half scoring chances. Still trying to figure out how on earth Centruy got a penalty shot. The guy was on a break away and wasn't even touched until after he shot. The refs and the ice were both not the best but they were pretty consistent so you can't complain. It had potentional to be another Park game cause white bear was strugiling to put the puck in the net. They dominated play and came out with a win though so it was a solid game for the bears.SouthrenHockey44 wrote:Good call SEnut. WBL pulls one out vs Century. Haven't you heard? Century is in every single game they play no matter what the score is...they will tell you they had a great 8-2 loss to Edina earlier this year, so losing 3-1 to WBL is like a win, no matter what the shots are....like I said, if Ewing plays well, which he must have, they could hang in the game on the scoreboard.
Section 1AA is Lakeville's to lose I guess.

Ewing kept Century in the game, no question about it. Century and Mayo are a lot alike, in that they both rely heavily on goaltending and are too undisciplined and take too many lazy penalties to do much more than scare good teams. WBL had 2 extended 5 on 3's and didn't score, cripes, Albert Lea had 5 power play goals Saturday.
2 of WBL goals, including the shorthanded one were directly attributed to 1 specific Panther deciding backchecking was a crime. Too many penalties for reaching and not moving thier feet. Century did have a lot of chances, they missed the net a bunch. If you're giving up odd man rushes to Century you have problems and WBL gave up more odd man rushes than anyone I've seen, including Austin.
WBL moves the puck well, often too well trying to get the perfect shot instead of just a quality shot. They're goalie also played well and they did a great job of not retailiting which led to some PP chances that most teams wouldn't have gotten. They're a good team, the better team.
One odd note was that someone in the crowd had a whistle and liked to blow it on occasion, in the JV game all but one player came to a halt and that WBL player scored nearly uncontested. A couple of times in the varsity game the whistle was heard, once everyone stopped so the refs picked up the puck with a 'what the heck?' look.
