White Bear Lake gave up some horrific turnovers in their own zone to let Roseville score. If White Bear plays that kind of game against Hill-Murray they will get killed. I don't think they will however as they always save their best for Hill. I told ChrisK, I thought I felt a disturbance in the force tonight when Roseville was winning late, but clearly it was just indigestion. I still think Hill will be too much for White Bear and I think they'll win a 4-2 game that will still have some classic moments to it. I don't enjoy them as much as everyone else, but here's to another classic Hill vs WBL game...![]()
In all honesty, that's something to take into account it seems to me. At times he looked good - made some nice saves - but at other times he was horrific and a team better than Mounds View (ie: White Bear Lake) would have made him pay quite a few times.
Again, it's hard to get a read on a goalie in a game like that, but to me, nothing he did looked all that confident, and if he's that squirrelly against the Bears, he's going to have a lot of trouble.
2/29 9 PM at the Coliseum: Hill Murray vs. White Bear Lake

It's pretty tough to prove.. The only time I can catch a glimpse of someone from Mounds View is when we play you ladies in hockey. Still then it's difficult cause either you're sitting and hard to see or there just aren't enough of you at the game to get a good read. Maybe I could try to prove SEC's statement without judging your student section. This would mean I would have to take a peak at your hockey team, and yeah..mvhockey12 wrote:Can you prove that?SECHockeyFan wrote:Everybody is a loser when you're in Mounds View.mvhockey12 wrote:I vote for nobody to win. This has nothing to do with our student section. You are clearly from White Bear because you are just so dumb.CFM™ wrote:It's pretty tough to prove.. We were talking about being "losers" which has nothing to do with student sections which makes his comments irrevelant. Which makes him stupid. Which then leads everyone to believe that he is from White Bear.SECHockeyFan wrote:Can you prove that?mvhockey12 wrote:CFM™ wrote: It's pretty tough to prove.. I was just mocking you, retard. I don't care if you can back up this ridiculous argument you're carrying on or not. The bottom line is this: WB plays Friday vs Hill to go to state. You are done for the year. If you like, you can come to the Coliseum, watch two GOOD hockey teams, and talk to the B-E-A-R-S to meet some REAL fans.mvhockey12 wrote:We were talking about being "losers" which has nothing to do with student sections which makes his comments irrevelant. Annnyway... Should be a good game. As much as I dislike white bear, I think they might have what it takes to knock Hill off this year. Then, based on seedings, they might get a good shot at winning their first state quarterfinal game ever! I also don't think a one goal lead heading into the third is good enough for WB, remember state in 05? They were up 2-1 on East heading into the third, and blew it.
They need to control this game throughout to win it.

I didn't think that was a very good mocking of me by the fact that I DID back up that ridiculous argument that YOU started. As for the game this Friday, I try to avoid being in the same general area as White Bear people because they tend to bring down my intelligence by about 60 points, but it should be a good game though. Oh, and you are right, everybody is a loser when you're in Mounds View BECAUSE THEY ALL GO TO IRONDALE!!!!!! Very good point SEC. Very good point.SECHockeyFan wrote:I was just mocking you, retard. I never tried to start anything, I just made a joke which you took VERY LITERALLY.mvhockey12 wrote:I didn't think that was a very good mocking of me by the fact that I DID back up that ridiculous argument that YOU started. mvhockey12, I did mention MV's hockey team.. Or lack thereof. But maybe that is irrelevant too. I'm not sure, it's really hard to tell. I do know one thing though; I, along with a massive WBL student section, be watching a great game of hockey between two talented and deserving teams tomorrow night at around 9PM at the Coliseum.
Aaahh, douche.

Observations from Tuesday night:
HM: I don't know how else to describe the first period other than Operation Shock and Awe. They put on a show in probably the best period I've seen them play all year. If not for the MV goalie it could have easily been 8-0 after one. If they can sustain that type of performance they will beat White Bear and have a chance to go deep in the tournament next week. However....for how good they were in period one, they were shockingly bad in period two and three looking nothing like a top seed should. Their passes were off, they gave up some gross turnovers and were lucky to only give up the 1 goal. They play like that tomorrow night and the Bears win in a rout...
Keys to Friday night: Play 51 minutes of hockey, don't get too cute with the puck, don't act as overconfident as some of the Hill fans on this board, and don't sit on a one or two goal lead because if you let White Bear hang around....
WBL: Forwards I thought looked solid and fast and crashed the net really well (i.e. the tying and winning goals), D was alright but a little slow in my opinion and they gave up some jawdropping turnovers in their own zone. But they never let Roseville get more than one goal up. Owen looked good and didn't get rattled when the pressure was really on. Hats off to the raucus student section for keeping the boys going.
Keys to Friday night: Stay out of the box, get Flip rattled, score the first two goals, play like they have nothing to lose
Prediction: White Bear plays their best game of the year tomorrow night taking out three years of frustration and futility against HM with a 4-2 win.

It's the section final and it's yet another H-M/WBL meeting. Both teams will be playing for both a victory against their rival and more importantly a berth into the state tournament. Throw away any past games in which teams have struggled because tomorrow night these two teams will be pouring it out right from the start. Experience and talent gives H-M the edge but if the Bears are physical and aggressive then we will have ourselves a definite nailbiter.
