Jokinen has always played this way. He is a smooth and skilled player. He always has been. He is a very excellent hockey player and deserves his nomination for Mr. Hockey. After watching him play on TV a few times in the last couple of years and in person number of times I don't think he is ever giving 60%. His style of playing sets him up to look like that's what he's doing though. He's not a physical presence so he doesn't do a lot of dirty work in the corners. He's a skilled stickhandler and shooter and gets himself into position with his long arms and legs so he doesn't appear like he has to work as hard as many other due to the size advantage he has over many other forwards in the state.

Yeah, along with a projected 2nd round draft position in the NHL. He will get DI offers. I'm not sure why your opinion is the way it is, mnhockeyfan, but it is in the minority. Jokinen still scored more goals, had more assists, and had more points than anyone else on this team this year.

Yes, Brown is a good player as well, but he plays defense and forechecking and backchecking are not required of him, and the offense isn't leaning on him to lead the way (despite his recent scoring output). He is put on the ice to stop scoring, while Jokinen is put on the ice to initiate scoring, most often against the opponents best defensive line.
