Congrats to the Easton Stealth team winning a very strong 97 field consisting of the Wisconsin Flames, the 97 Machine, and the Easton Synergy team. Nice to see a new 97 team on the horizon.

Congrats to the 97' for a great trny.

95' Results
Championship Machine 14 Easton Stealth 0
3rd place MN Icemen 5 MN Edge 2

99' Results MN Blades 5 Machine 3

So the best team in the Gold division for the 96 Machine to play in the championship game is the 97 Blades? The 96 Blades also move up. what is going on at these levels?

1996 blades didn't seem to fair as well in the 1995 bracket as the rest of the other blades teams. Any thoughts on this, looked like they had a lot of skilled players.

I did see them play in a couple games and the do have some very talented players....It's amazing what a 1 year difference makes, the size, speed and goaltending was the biggest difference I saw as to why they didn't dominate at the 95 level.

Now if they would have played the Machine, Iceman - It would have gotten ugly for them. I noticed the kid from out of state had a great deal of thier points - If they didn't bring him in, the scores would have been alot worse - even so they did pretty good, considering.

Does anyone know the final score of this game?

Also, someone mentioned on another thread that LS Stars beat the Blades in the 98 division. That was the 98 Blades correct?

Thunderwolf, check out minnesotablades.com, the 98 blades went 4-2 in the tournament and lost 7-4 to LSS. It looks like the 99 Blades went 5-0 and beat the 99 Machine in the championship game. 96 and 97 blades scores are not posted. I heard the 97 Blades went 4-2 at the 96 level and lost in the championship game to the 96 Machine. I can not find 96 Blades scores. Pretty good show by the Blades at all levels.

Here is a link to the 1st -3rd results...

What's confusing is 97 and 96 blades did played up, but per results, Blades were in all levels... 95(3rd), 96(2nd), 97(3rd), 98(3rd), & 99 (1st)....

What team played at the 97 Level for Blades? It wasn't 98's, they played at the 98 Level. and 99's played at 99's...

I beleive the 98 Machine won 7-1 over the LS STARS in the champ game but the stars have a good team the Machine was untouchable from what I heard they made all the games look easy

so the 96 Icemen lost to the 97 Blades 8-6?? wow, you'd think the size difference would already be showing between the 96 and 97s. The Icemen than beat Lake Superior Stars, so the Icemen must be strong also. That means the 97's beat a very good team in the Icemen.

If I am not mistaken 3rd place game for the 95 level was between the 95 Iceman and the 95 MN Edge - Iceman winning, not sure how the 96 Blades ended up in 3rd, in the 95 level...?

Maybe that is a typo or something - but according to my calculations they would have been playing in the 5/6th place game..

Even though the 96 Machine beat the 97 Blades 7-1 & 12-1, you could tell that they are very skilled and fast skating team, they were pretty small.

There was no Blades team at the 97 Level that I am aware of. The 97 Machine placed 3rd, beating the other Easton team.

SS did you happen to see the 4 games the 96 blades played in the 95 level that all went to running time by the third period. They maybe wern't the top 95 teams but for 4 games to go to running time and two games lost by 1 goal for a team playing up. 1 year does make a difference I agree but thats a pretty great showing, if 4 games went to runnning time at 95 level, how bad would some of the 96 games went?

4 games that went to running time? You must mean 2 games that went to running time...

To sum up your post - The 96 blades beat a couple of 95 teams by 6 or more and you played for the 10th place game..Okay, better luck next year, I guess

not sure why you felt compelled to bring this post back to the forefront.
