Wait, I figured it out. By senior leadership, you really mean somebody who bends over for the coach. Kind of like you do for Wes, over at Woodbury. Given your definition of leadership, I guess you are right about WBL.

Birki has been skating in practice and when I chatted with him prior to the Woodbury game, he felt he would be ready to go this weekend. I know he's anxious to get back to game action... I didn't notice if he was running full drills today or not.. I think Def. Sam Dolfay will be ready to go, also... So, the Bears MAY have a full lineup for the first time in a long time...

Was it not MV who beat Bonin his senior year in the sections? Look out.

Romain wrote:Yes the people of W.B. are trying to oust the coach. He has no respect from his players, past and present. As for Senior leadership, Sam Swanson is it-but when Sam asks the coach for harder practices and gets totally shot down by the coach it's hard to have team continuity. If the Bears win it will by their own desire, and will not have anything to do with coaching. I heard they are for the most part ignoring what the coaches tell them to do anyway. That's when they win. I think this could be a very close game.

Your opening sentence needs work.

Strike "The people of" and replace it with "A disgruntled, anonymous, and cowardly group..."

That's better.

LOL. Please, that's too hilarious  You obviously haven't watched a second of hockey between these two teams this year.

Did anyone watch the great game between Wb and Woodbury the other night? That will tell you all you need to know about the coaching of WB, Outstanding. Woodbury is also a very well coached team. That was a great high school hockey game played between two very good teams. Hats off to the players and coaches of both teams for showing off the game of high school hockey in Minnesota to everyone. I thought the ref's did a good job all night until the penalty called in overtime. the view on t.v. wasn't great but to make that call with less than three minutes left in o.t. seemed odd. Anyone trying to say the players aren't listening to coaches don't know our game very well. the system play was outstanding, I was really impressed with both teams in the neutral ice. This part of the game isn't always coached or played particuliarily well at the high school level. If you know hockey you understand the amount of teaching that goes into neutral ice play and why I am so impressed with both staffs. White Bear has improved defencively quite a bit since I last saw them. Turnovers and mistakes were really limited by their defence. Woodbury really did a great job on limiting the odd man rushes and has a very good goalie. White Bear had the better of the play overall in scoring opportunities but really a very close and well played game by both teams.

I agree, it was a very well played and well coached game between 2 very good teams. The refs kept their whistles in their pockets and overlooked an obvious checking-from-behind penalty and a few hooks and trips. To call a holding penalty with 2 minutes left in OT, after letting everything else go, was hard to justify. In this case, the refs had too much influence in deciding the outcome. Having said that, it was a penalty, although not a very flagrant one. I have been a staunch supporter of the White Bear coaches, but their decision to skate only four D is puzzling. They had three D sitting on the bench who saw no ice time (2 of them were pulled up from JV, but the third was a varsity player who had significant ice time in almost every WBL game and has a +/- of +12). At the end of the game, the 4 D looked gassed. In my opinion, this fatigue contributed to the holding penalty, which cost the Bears the game.
If you can't say something nice, don't say anything.

I was just looking at MV's last few games. Losses to Park, North and Hastings all at home. MV lost to WB 7-0 last game. It was 7-0 after 2 periods. 6-2 WB

Whoever is even thinking of MV winnins is probably on something or knows nothing about hockey. WB is 2-0 this year vs moundsview and all the mv players will be to distraut by the fact that we have their stud Ryan Wolter.

Birkinbine will be back and at 100%. He could have played at Woodbury but decided to wait until he was full strength. Hopefully this will help WBL win this section!

Just curious if there is any way we can have Blanco booted for taking my location and using it for his sign off line? Blatant plagiarism!

We have to give blanco some slack... he's just a HS student that is probably just used to copying papers, and having other kids do his homework. We can't kick him off!! We need his valuable inside information, and keen insight, such as informing us that the JV will start playing in the second period, because it will be such a huge blowout. I am surprised, looking at the POLL, that there are even 10 MV fans in the state!!!!
