They don't want to play for Sager and his coaching staff that is not respected by anyone. I have never talked to a ex-white bear player of the past four years and had them say they loved sager he is so great. Most of the responses from them are that guy is an idiot. I have talked to college recruited players from past WB teams where the colleges urge them to leave early and go to juniors because they no Sager is a tool. In the past four years there were no white bear kids playing at Hill that I know of....and maybe thats why white bear could compete with them and even then they were very much the underdogs. So your theory that sager loses all of his good players to Hill every year and can still compete with them is not a very good one. Maybe now WB is losing players to Hill but that is because Sager has dug his own grave in WB and nobody that is any good wants to play for him. (so lets bring in the mediocre transfers and everything will be alright ha) White Bear was able to compete with Hill but now that is going to change, until Sager leaves, white bear is going to keep losing its better players that want to play for GOOD coach and somewhere they can actually get better. In years to come white bear will not be able to compete with the pioneers it wont even be close.[/b][/b]
Relax this has gone on for year. Sager/Butters/Hurt/doesn't matter every year HM has a few WBL kids, gone on for many many years. But all you whiners bitch about the coach...

He "longs for the day" when "the playing field is equal", Hill sucks, the coach sucks, there is no team, just a bunch of "transfers", blah, blah, blah. Well keep whining and keep on longing. Hill-Murray has a 50 year tradition of winning hockey and WBL has some folks with a 50 year tradition of complaining about it.

I know first hand how wrong you are. Families send their kids to Hill-Murray for lots of reason - one of them is hockey. Our huge suburban public high schools are failing to educate and involve way too many kids. 95% of kids at HM are involved in activities including sports, music, theatre, religion & service. The academics are top notch and the kids go on to very good colleges. Hundreds of middle class families make a lot of sacrifices to pay the tuition that is now over $10,000. Families and kids at HM are proud of their school and are a part of a great community.

Bill Lechner is an outstanding coach, a good guy and sets high expecations for his players. Last year's suspensions are actually a good example of that. Ask the kids who have played for him if they were a part of a team.

I doubt my arguments will influence Mr. HShockeyz. Go ahead & keep on bitching. See you on Dec. 15th at Aldrich.
Oh I'm not bitching and no excuses, i simply will relish the day WBL beat HM with much less talent. Lechner is horrible coach, he's gets outcoached all the time. He wanted that job for years and the school wouldn't give it to him. His motivation tactics drive kids to smoke and get booted. Why did he wait so long with the info to investigate? LOL he's not a good teacher of young men.

I hope for more transfers to level the playing field. By the way, several players were looking to leave last year (committed????) not.

They don't like him they just like beating simley 12-0, makes the weak minded feel good.

Skrypek used to sit the first line playing central and harding??? why becuase he had some class. And also there was no risk of losing to RICHFIELD.... oh god i love it, wish i was there.

HM - WBL

Hey HShockeyz - As long as you loved that Richfield game so much, here's some games that I attended that I have loved. How about you?

10 straight

12/6/05 - HM 1, WBL 0, Hoeffel with the winner.
3/3/06 - HM 5, WBL 4, 2OT, Section Final.
12/5/06 - HM 2, WBL 1, OT, Larson with the winner.
12/28/06 - HM 3, WBL 2, Schwan Cup 3rd Place Game.
3/2/07 - HM 3, WBL 1, Section Final.
12/22/07 - HM 5, WBL 2, HM's 25th Anniversary Night for the 1983 State Champs.
12/27/07 - HM 6, WBL 3, Schwan Cup Semi-final Game.
2/29/08 - HM 2, WBL 1, Section Final.
12/23/08 - HM 5, WBL 2.
3/4/09 - HM 5, WBL 4, OT, Section Semi-final.

P.S. In 1983 Terry Skrypek's Hill-Murray team beat Central 21-1 and 16-1. He didn't sit his 1st line.

As for Sager......Barry will refrain from commenting on his behavior until after Thanksgiving. It's too early to start, isn't it?
Where did you hear this? I'm personally friends with Basil Sampair and his eligibility is still pending he hasn't received anything from the MSHSL so you are definately spreading a false rumor haha.

Fun for you, get a job. if there were 100% transfers at WBL i'm sure they would have had several state champions by now. I wasn't at all, but I will be there whe WBL wins. I think lechner was substitute coach those games. haha

interesting thread

Post by hockey99vs87 »

Interesting thread, funny how it starts "not that it matters..." you should all get a life. bad mouth players, bad mouth coaches, bad mouth each other, bad mouth parents, last i checked it was a hockey "game", if some player wants to play somewhere else who cares??

ooh poor baby the kid that dreams about playing for high school his whole life?? what if there were no transfers and he doesn't make it??? should they make a special spot on the bench for the poor little guy. What about squirts, should they ALL be on an A team. maybe the kid just needs to work harder to get better??? should all players trying out be on the Varsity??? maybe those parents should teach their kids to work harder to achieve their goals not have it handed to them by default? maybe some kids are just better than others...

This is a long thread about nothing anyone here can change or influence... Not that it matters.... pretty funny
