The win over Winona and win over defending section champs rochestor Lourdes and the OT loss to Faribault shows this Northfield team is legit. These past three games show that Northfield has a fighting chance to win the section. This team should not be taken lightly.

It seems Northfield and Faribault have seperated from the pack a bit but, much like last season, there area a bunch of teams that could win it; AL, Red Wing, Lourdes, maybe a Mankato school and even Waseca is competitive on a given night. Another year where getting a 1 or 2 seed is huge, of course #1 Lourdes needed ot to beat #8 Faribault last season. 1A continues to be a very highly competitive section - no doubt about it.

Saw that. But at least 4 other websites (minnesota-scores.net, followthepuck.com, big9, minnhock.com) have it @ 6-2 Alex.

I wouldn't count this an official score..

But I did hear Lourdes lost in a shoot out tonight to mason city?
So it would go officialy down as a tie
