If AHA is looking for a new conference with better competition they could join the "new" Classic Lake where none of the former Lake conf schools wanted to play so lot of room for schools looking for new home. That would earn them respect/credit.blueblood wrote:AHA is an average team right now. Yes, they have played better since the Schwan's cup embarrassment, but they still haven't beat anyone. Right now they are probably a 4 seed in their section behind Edina, Jefferson, and Burnsville.
Why are they behind Burnsville? Because they play in a weak conference which will hurt them come section seeding times. The coaches from the Lake will not give them credit.
In the long run, AHA needs to review their conference affiliation in hockey in the Missota. Maybe they dhould go independent like the Hunds from Duluth East for hockey....

Re: AHA
AHA and Edina game
Caught the highlights and some of the game on myfoxhockey and I agree that this assessment is right on the mark. Love the suggestion that AHA consider the new Classic Lake.
Re: AHA and Edina game
Actually I would love to play in the lake. I would save so much in gas money, but from the standpoint of sports AHA would not fit into this scenario. Two problems, size of school and ability.Doglover wrote:Caught the highlights and some of the game on myfoxhockey and I agree that this assessment is right on the mark. Fact is the only sport that AHA would be able to compete in is boys hockey and maybe baseball. All the other sports would not have much of a chance so that is a no go. I would guess a better fit would be the classic suburban with Hill and STA and Tartan.
Richfield would be better in the Missota, but I know as a Richfield parent the cost for busing the kids all over th southern metro would be very costly.
