From what I have heard, all the other teams have to agree. Even is one does not agree they cannot do it. I have heard that they might try this again this year.HShockeywatcher wrote:Hockey may be your sport, but as an alum you have to be able to see how good the conference is for them in almost every other sport, very similar to Cretin football in their conference.Zamman wrote:After this year I can honestly say, I AGREE. I am tired of beating up on these teams. It does them no good and AHA will only be able to use the games as practice. But I also understand how this works, and unless the AD's from the other schools will say "let them go" they have to stay.Lakeviewing wrote:AHA needs to get the hell out of thier conference level of play to be a powerhouse.
After Thursday's game against Red Wing, pending an upset, AHA will be close to 150 - 0 against these teams since the new millennium started.
While it is unfortunate, it does allow all of their players great development opportunities. Teams with similar schedules like Benilde and Hill Murray have had good success as of late. Not at all saying the current situation is great, but from an athletic stance as a whole, the Missota is a great conference, all around probably one of the most competitive in state.
Do you know why the conference won't allow them to play conference opponents just once?
I understand the conference is good for all the other sports, but the travel has to be costly and there must be a better fit.
