They do things a bit differently here in the Deep South. I get that part. What i don't get is how did the hockey fans of this once proud program let things slide so fast and so hard? And how can they just sit back and watch it all happen year after year?

Wow sounds like Raiders Blues has some major beef with the coaches here in Hastings. You asked how once proud hockey fans of this program let it slide, well I got a question for you. If you're so angry about the way this program has gone in the past years, why haven't you tried to stop it from "sliding"? You say blame and fire the coach, but you can't honestly think that's the answer.
You are right though Hastings has had some fairly talented kids come up though. But one of the main problems is when the kids are coming up through the program, there are no expectations. The kids expect to lose those tough teams, when in reality if they compete like this varsity team did against East, they can play with the best of them.
