Yes you are exactly right. Hibbing can't play with the "big boys" anymore. Things change over time. Next time your in the Hibbing Memorial Building look at the times we have been at state and have won state. With Minnetonka having over 200 kids try out. Not many northern teams can compete with them.mnhockeynemn wrote:Like I said, just a cheap way of saying you cant play with the big boys anymore.![]()
The reason you and virginia fans don't like Hibbing is because we are consistent every year and have decent teams every year. I understand some people don't like teams that are good every year.

Wow is right, no doubt it the refs were terrible both ways. First when a Hermantown player sends it down the ice while behind the red line, now isn't that icing. Boy was I wrong. Second call, a Hibbings player turned up the ice with the puck and gets tripped(happened right in front of me) and what do you know, there was no call. Now if he didn't get tripped Hibbing would have scored an empty netter. O yea and hermantown also has a lot of class by skating by the Hibbing parents giving them the finger. In my eyes Hibbing won that game.

have the win hawks. we'll beat you guys at state anyways. except when adam johnson is on a breakway and gets his legs taken out they'll call it. and when we leed with a minute left and you ice it, the ref wont stand there with thr wistle in his mouth and never blow it. and when adam johnson gets tripped clearing it after the no icing, they'll call it. when somebody slides into your goalie andtakes him down, which is the most oviose penalty. they will call it except hermantown. i cant wait to watch the final two minutes over!

Boy you guys didn't call that one did ya?east hockey wrote:Gee, no idea who would possibly say that.GopherHockey wrote:Hermantown by 5. Hopefully when Hibbing loses we don't hear the normal "refs were terrible" saying.![]()

Funny thing is though Hermantown had 6 penaltys for 12 min.
Hibbing had 4 for 8 min.
Ha they are right the refs did show favoritism

And hermantown should have had more. Those refs need to be turned in. Good thing that game was video taped.Northhcky wrote:Boy you guys didn't call that one did ya?east hockey wrote:Gee, no idea who would possibly say that.GopherHockey wrote:Hermantown by 5. not to mention how the Hermantown player skated by the Hibbing bench twice after the scored the game winner. Very unsportsmanlike and all he gets is a roughing. I didn't see any roughing. I saw unsportmanlike conduct.HockeyFan_11 wrote:Wow is right, no doubt it the refs were terrible both ways. Was it a trip? Yes,but I'm not using that as an excuse. It was an obvious missed call but that's adversity, that's part of the game. The refs didn't "cost" Hibbing the game they just made it a little more difficult. Ok Hibbing loses but they played a heck of a game. The way they've played the past two games is exactly how you want to be playing heading into playoffs. The hermantown player skating by the Hibbing bench and trying to clip a player was uncalled for, go celebrate with your team instead of taunting your opponent. After this game I was livid but after sitting down and thinking there are alot of positives to take out of this game.GopherHockey wrote:Imagine that Hibbing loses and its all because of the refs![]()

Ever think that maybe one of the reasons Hermantown won the game is because they outshot Hibbing 35-22? And there was missed calls on both teams as there usually is in every game.dirtracing17 wrote:everyone that was there knows hibbing won that game! ill try to get a link so you all can see how those refs called those final two minutes. then tell me that.GopherHockey wrote:Imagine that Hibbing loses and its all because of the refs![]()

Oh and i WAS there and Hermantown won the game 5-4 not Hibbing like you say. I saw it with my own eyes. Hibbing played good but the shotcount and puck posession in the offensive shows they were outplayed.
Get over it.

The Hermantown skater skated back to pick up his mouthpiece. And I am assuming you missed #19 who skated after him all the way to the Hermantown bench before that (Unsportsmanlike?). The player that got the rough was another player who came back to defend Krause who was surrounded by your very sportsmanlike players. And you guys assume these are "our" refs! If you watched the game you noticed there were a bunch of missed calls both ways that could of changed the game! And everyone knows all the calls on the Range are always given to both sides evenly!

Its also funny how every year someone gives your players the finger. Two years ago it seemed to be that same sad story that led your mouthy asst. Coach(no names need to be said) to argue for 30 minutes with the police. Very proud of the language used in front of the kids I am sure. You also must of missed Johnson skating by the Hermantown bench after his go ahead goal screaming at our bench. Funny how you don't bring that up! I hope we see you again in State, then when the same outcome happens, we can wait to hear how someone gave you the finger and the refs wanted Hermantown to win or whatever the played out excuse you have again for losing.

i know they missed calls througout the game on both sides but i know if you guys were up and we tripped your player up with a empty net on the other side theres no doubt they would have called it. you must have forgot about the icing. someone from the stands said it best. dont send your guys outNorthhcky wrote:Ever think that maybe one of the reasons Hermantown won the game is because they outshot Hibbing 35-22? did you miss the shot he gave him in the ankle on the way to the bench? is that sportslike?HawkeyPower wrote:The Hermantown skater skated back to pick up his mouthpiece. hermantowns rulebook, ask for a copy when you visit there
rule #1 if we are behind with little time left, we wont call anything. even the oviouse.
rule#2 if the wistle is in our mouth, chances are if it will benefit our HERMANTOWN HAWKS it will never be blown. as oiviose as icing is, when you are refs it doesnt matter. we will let them play.
rule #3 your at hermantown and this is the way we play hockey. thank you
also, it is okay to disallow a goal if there was a penalty on the play that the refs werent able to blow there wistle in time. rapids did it.

I agree with gophers101. Yeah I was also pretty pi**ed off after watchin that game, but when a ref makes a bad call theres really not much you are gonna do about it. The game is over. Hibbing played great, but they lost. Hibbings still the 3rd seed and still plays eveleth on thursday anyway, so really, that game didnt change anything. Even if hibbing did get screwed over, whats done is done.gophers101 wrote:Was it a trip? Yes,but I'm not using that as an excuse.
