It isn't supposed to be which makes ZERO sense to me. Channel 10 puts on the Hibbing/Virginia game when both of those schools are an hour out of Duluth and aren't local teams. Then tonight you got the East/Elk River game which has one local team playing. Now tomorrow night, you have two local teams within 10 minutes of each other and they aren't on tv??? So to sum it up.... 2 games on tv, 4 teams with only one being a local team. Disappointing.
Vary sad deal, schools would have "made a mint" hosting at DECC and no brain move not having this game on Channel 10. AD's from both schools should be ashamed. What are you taxpayers getting for that $110,000 a year salary? I would say you are getting ripped off.

It doesn't matter who plays in the final game, they will still air it. I THINK. I think this game should be moved to the decc though. It is a finals game and not just Hermantown and Denfeld fans will be going. I honestly can not believe it is going to be played in Cloquet.

It was Plante's choice. He has his reasons.

I'm guessing he wants it there because the ice will be harder than the DECC.

I guess that makes sense if you put yourself in Plante's shoes. The more room his high powered offense has to move around, the harder it's going to be for Denfeld to keep track of all the top scorers. Does anybody know if there's a line outside the arena yet?? :D

Game Coverage

Post by northwoods oldtimer »

Guys any game coverage at all in this game? Internet radio feeds? Smoke signals? Real lame that WDIO 13 in Duluth does not have this game on tonight!

That is a big surprise, it doesn't seem like any of the Duluth Channels really care too much for hermantown. Half the names on their roster aren't even pronounced right...

Wow, this denfeld team is really giving them a closer game than I thought, even with the hawks ot win earlier in the season.
