It doesn't matter who I agree or disagree with, just fricken drop it already, CC. They're like the bullies at recess who pick on people to get a reaction, but you keep adding fuel to their fire...curtiscurve wrote:I am a little confused SE. In the 1AA championship thread, you gave it to Roseauoverrated as well. I am trying to contribute meaningful thoughts to these threads, just check my first post on this thread for example. Just sick of the same old bashing of 1AA. Sorry to have offended you!SEMinnyHCKY wrote:I teach 4th graders that are more mature than these three girls (Roseauverrated, Curtiscurve, and Danglingsnipen 15) who keep going back and forth. If you three want to actually meet during the tournament and duke it out behind the mini donut stand in between periods of the 1AA game (which will surely be a blowout), that's cool, but trying to get through your lame posts to the ones that are actually worth reading is getting old.
What its the best part of the state tourney, in your opinion

The whole atmosphere, is something really special, driving down I35 and seeing the tall buildings in the horizon, its something many people share, and it makes for great memories year after year, i would have to say it is my favorite time of year. Seeing the birth of many division one players show their swagger on the ice. The expo is also a great party of the tradition "especially the easton girls
" and whats better than seeing thousands of high school girls

The real March Madness is at the X
BEST POST I HAVE SEEN

So true and I am in the exact! same boatOld ones: Skipping school, taking a lap around the inside of the Civic Center, cheering for the underdogs, Shamrock Shakes and Filet - o - Fishes on Fridays, Olimb, Gernander, Miracle, Stauber, Decker, Brotens, Pelawa, and all the other great players, clear boards, 6 OT's and doing the wave, mini-donus, not getting home until after midnight on a weekday, wearing my letter jacket as a junior and senior, getting dropped off and picked up and being with my friends all day, chasing girls!
New ones: Skipping school (as a teacher now!), texting all my buds (I'm 37, but it's easier than calling)and seeing them between periods, explaining to my wife why this is the best 3 days of the year, going to Wild Tymes, McGovern's, and the Liffey, cheering for the underdogs, watching games in a great arena, seeing great teams and players.
Some things have changed, others haven't, but I still look forward to the tournament every year!

i would prefer the Maui Waui standSEMinnyHCKY wrote:I teach 4th graders that are more mature than these three girls (Roseauverrated, Curtiscurve, and Danglingsnipen 15) who keep going back and forth. I've stayed at a few places...the old Radisson (now Crowne Plaza) and the Embassy are my favorites - we always stay at the Embassy now.
Food - Red Savoy is great...love their pizza. Cossetta's is good too.
Drinks - Alarys and McGovern's....Eagle Street between games.
I always liked Dick Stanford (the Class AA PA announcer - and all the way back to the single class tournaments in the 80's) - I don't think he was there last year...his voice was legendary like Wally Shaver...."Soph-o-more defensemen...." Dave Wright (the new guy - used to only do Class A) just has an incredibly nasal-ly voice...they need someone else.
All the laughs with old teammates and friends as we gather for the annual pilgrimage.....
