This is one ive never heard before
That one is pretty good.
If I may also descend to the level of dirty spelling: a-n-a-l ("come from behind").
But I assure you that as a dignified future moderator, I naturally never dreamed of yelling such things.
Btw this article is very one sided. From some people I know that were at the game (good people), they didn't condone the food stamps chant, but also noted that nowhere in this article was the fact that Hopkins chanted "Daddy's wallet" which prompted food stamps, or the fact that some EP parents felt like they were running for their lives driving out of there, or the fact that 5 Hopkins students were escorted out by police. One of the people I talked to (an African American EP resident) said he was called the N word multiple times by white Hopkins students on his way out but never heard it come from our side. In fact the author never talked to an EP student or parent at all. It's unfortunate that Eden Prairie is up on a pedestal and held to a higher standard but I guess that's the way it goes.

They got the wording all wrong. It's supposed to be "you're gonna work for East someday."

I couldn't agree with you more. There is no way that fans would start a "food stamps" chant out of nowhere. There is always one thing leading to another. This article clearly did not explain the two sides in this story. A very poor case of reporting in my opinion.

we got our "good sportsmanship banner" taken away for just saying push it over and over i think parents are taken the fun out of it and should just let the kids cheer yeah it gets really bad sometimes but their just kids they will get over it
Fan chants are one of the things that make it fun for the fans, especially the student section. I imagine its different in the cities since so many teams that are play are close to each other but up North fan sections can contribute to your home ice advantage.
For instance, a few years ago when I was a senior in high school Warroad was playing Crookston and they had one player who's last name was Morgan. Knowing this, whenever this Morgan kid touched the puck or took a face off Warroad's student section would chant "Morgan." You could see him get noticeably frustrated by it and in the second period he took a bad penalty and was kicked out of the game. One of the Crookston parents came over and said to knock it off and the Athletic Director agreed but the damage had already been done.
I think one of the best chants, even though very inappropriate, is when the opposing student section finds out the name of the parents of a certain player. (usually the goalie). "We F****D Karen" or other chants about what they are going to do to that players mother (most chants have a sexual theme behind them obviously) They are funny but kind of awkward especially if Karen is sitting 4 sections down
Here are some good ones from this year's state hockey tournament.
After STA's we know that we will win- we know that you are gay
After STA's that's too easy- like your mother
Private pussies
Scared of double a
We've got women yes we do we've got women how bout you
After they scored- you're still gay
Joining olay olay olay olay with you're gay you're gay you're gay you're gay
Drink our spitters
Bill says you're gay-(Bill was the security guy in the section telling us to keep our chants appropirate)
Time to party
And one of the highlights of the tourney was when i saw a girl wave and yell to a group of STA students, hey i like guys too

The East fans will remmber this one. East students would sing where not number 5, 4, 3, 2 where number #1 in the state.

The first time I heard this reference was when a local team drove up to play Bemidji and Moorhead for a weekend double header. After beating Bemidji 6-0 the first night the comment was...
We just licked the Beavers. Now its time to go get More Head!

I've never heard people call STA gay before, how did you think of that?

Good ones Why should they care? You'll probably end up working for an STA grad someday.
