So now Herm is not even in the same class as Breck and STA? Really...HShockeywatcher wrote:Such an interesting parody in the state beyond St Thomas and Breck. Hermantown needed to come from behind to beat a Rogers team that just lost in OT to a team that got shut out by Denfeld.observer wrote:Nice win for St. Louis Park after they wobbled in the Holiday Tourney. Hopefully they can jump into your top 20.
I noticed TJ Roo missed the game last night as well.
It's really hard to judge which teams are playing up to opponents, which are playing down and which are really that good or that bad.
I'd say STA's head-scratching 1-0 win over SSP last night puts them right with Hermantown, both an equal distance behind Breck.pekyman wrote:So now Herm is not even in the same class as Breck and STA? Based on stats and game results, that is my opinion.rainier wrote:I'd say STA's head-scratching 1-0 win over SSP last night puts them right with Hermantown, both an equal distance behind Breck.pekyman wrote:So now Herm is not even in the same class as Breck and STA? It is head scratching, yes, but shots were 49-22. I know stats don't show what happened, but it's possible a hot goalie happened.
The stat I don't know if is kept (if it is, I don't know where to find it) is # of shifts, or ice time, or something similar to know how the lines were played. That is the stat that would be most beneficial and tell a lot more. Without it, it is very difficult. Unless someone is traveling to games of all these teams, it is very difficult to draw much of a conclusion about much of these scores as long as their ends up being a W in the W/L column.
It's very possible. Which is why I'm asking. If "playing down" is outshooting by 2x every period and having your back up allow zero goals, then I wouldn't mind them "playing down" every game.Hawkyfan70 wrote:maybe the cadets 'playing down' to the competition??HShockeywatcher wrote:STA 1

Again, which is why I'm asking.
