Score after just two periods: Warroad 13, Detroit Lakes 0.

I think it's safe to say that at the conclusion of this game our contest will start off with everyone tied at 3 points apiece. Everyone had Warroad winning, but nobody had Warroad running up the score more than 10-0, and there is still a period to go.

Hopefully the second quarterfinal (New Ulm vs. SSP) will be a little more competitive.

Final was Warroad 13, Detroit Lakes 1. Everyone is tied at 3 points.

For the next game, all 19 prognosticators have South St. Paul winning, so any advantage will be the result of a correct score.

Looks like another mismatch - after one it's SSP 5, New Ulm 0.

After two it's now 9-0.

Everyone will pick up at least 3 points, and three (capitalpride, AV dad and Silent But Deadly) still have a chance at adding another two for the correct score.

Hoping tonight's games will be more even...

Breck scored three more in the 3rd to win decisively 7-3. Have to give a lot of credit to Chisago Lakes - they battled hard all the way and gave Breck all they wanted for two periods. No one in our contest expected them to score 3 goals, and therefore nobody got the score right. This means everyone is still tied for 1st place with 9 points apiece.

This tie MAY still hold after our next game, as everybody has Red Wing winning. But I'll go out on a limb and predict that someone will get the score right and grab the lead, as these two teams should prove to be more even than what we've seen in the other three games.

After one period it's:

Hutchinson 1, Red Wing 0.

Good, competitive game so far.

Five goals were scored in the second period, and Hutchinson now leads Red Wing 4-2. That means no bonus points for a correct score, and possibly no points at all unless the seeded and favored Red Wing team is able to come back and get the win.

Red Wing scores in OT to beat Hutchinson 6-5. A great game to watch from start to finish.

So, like in the first three games today, everybody gets 3 points but no correct score bonus. Going into tomorrow's AA games it's all tied up at 12.

Roseville wins it 3-1 with an empty netter at the end. Grand Rapids/Greenway made it a lot closer than most thought, but FlyingWarrior and KRACH picked up the 2 bonus points for having predicted the 3-1 score. Everyone else added 3 points.

I'll post the Leaderboard after today's second game between Edina and Mounds View. The majority, by a 15-5 margin, has Edina winning this one, so there should be a little more separation in our point totals.

Another great game as Edina pulls it out over a very good Mounds View team 3-2. This one went right down to the wire as Mounds View almost sent it into OT with just a few seconds left.

Twelve of twenty add 3 points for Edina's win, and three others scored 5 points for also predicting the 3-2 score.

Here is our Leaderboard:

1. FlyingWarrior - 22 (a perfect 6 for 6 with two correct scores!)

2. capitalpride - 20
sinbin - 20
KRACH - 20

5. MNHockeyFan - 18
hckynut12 - 18
ayhfan - 18
Silent But Deadly - 18
21puCk - 18
fivehole628 - 18
MamaLlama - 18
Hockey8! - 18
northerngal65 - 18

14. Six with 15

20. One with 3 (missed deadline for Class A)

The picks for the first game tonight are very lopsided (20-0 in Minntonka's favor) but a good number (7 of 20) have Roseau upsetting seeded Lakeville North in the nightcap.

Everyone had Tonka winning, and two - ayhfan and northerngal65 - pick up the two extra bonus points with the score.

2. capitalpride - 23
sinbin - 23
ayhfan - 23
KRACH - 23
northerngal65 - 23

7. MNHockeyFan - 21
hckynut12 - 21
Silent But Deadly - 21

fivehole628 - 21
MamaLlama - 21
Hockey8! - 21

14. Six with 18

In today's final game our leader FlyingWarrior has Roseau beating the seeded Lakeville North team by a score of 3-2. We'll see what happens!
