Big Games and Your Predictions - Week 2

Three of our four games tonight are now reported as final:

Blaine 6, Hibbing/Chisholm 0
Red Wing 5, North Wright County 4
Benilde-St. Margaret's 3, Edina 0

17 of 19 picked Blaine to beat Hibbing/Chisholm, and there was one correct score as Otter picks up the bonus.

11 of us had Red Wing winning, and in this one both Nordic and ayhfan got the score right and add the extra point.

And in BSM's shutout win over Edina, 17 picked the winner, but nobody got the score.

As of 10:30pm the Breck/Blake game had not been reported. I'll update the leaderboard when it is, hopefully yet this evening!

Looks like the Breck/Blake game went to overtime, tied at 2. Since this is a tournament game they would need to determine a winner, but for the purpose of this contest we'll go by the official rules of the MSHSL, i.e. just one OT and if it's decided by a shootout it's officially a tie.

Breck advances in the Edina Cake Eater Tournament to face BSM in tomorrow's final. But officially it goes in the record books as a tie, since it was still tied at 2-2 after the first overtime. Since nobody here predicted a tie, no points are awarded.

With just the one game to be played tomorrow, here is our Leaderboard:

Final score in tonight's only game:

Hill-Murray 5, Stillwater 0

While most (12 out of 19) had the Pioneers winning, the one-sided score was a surprise to everyone - no one predicted even a four goal margin, let alone five and a shutout of the always tough Ponies).
