Update: earlier scoresheet that was posted on the Hub was wrong! This is an edited post to reflect the correct final score.
Final score:
Breck 5, Eagan 3
Breck's Kate Schipper had a hat trick plus one assist to lead the Mustangs over Eagan.
Five of twenty got this one right, and woogieboogiewoogie nailed the score to take the early lead after tonight's games:
1. woogieboogiewoogie - 5
2. fishfreak11 - 4
Bleedinred - 4
Rocketwrister - 4
5. sinbin - 3
Knight7 - 3
Silent But Deadly - 3
36Guy - 3
hockeyfan87 - 3
FlyingWarrior - 3
oag - 3
mnhockey3535 - 3
Nordic - 3
MNHockeyFan - 3
D16Dad - 3
ayhfan - 3
otter - 3
18. Three tied with 2
Next update will be Thursday evening, when four more on this week's schedule will be played.

Actually it looks like Breck won 5-3. I think they may have been in the process of entering the score/stats when you wrote this.MNHockeyFan wrote:Final score:
Breck 1, Eagan 1 (OT Tie)
Breck's Kate Schipper and Eagan's Emily Golf each scored first period goals, but neither team could get one the rest of the way.
Once again, all 20 contestants struck out points-wise as nobody predicted the two teams would tie.

You are correct - see edited post above!MinnGirlsHockey wrote:Actually it looks like Breck won 5-3. I think they may have been in the process of entering the score/stats when you wrote this.MNHockeyFan wrote:Final score:

P.S. Normally when a scoresheet is entered, it's final. But as this proves, not always.

In the first reported game this evening it was:
Eden Prairie 5, Andover 4
Five different players scored for the Eagles to edge Andover 5-4. EP’s Allison Koloski got the winner with a little over two minutes to go, and Angie Heppelmann contributed three assists for a four point night. Andover’s Mikayla Goodin was able to get the hat trick in a losing effort.
13 of 21 (now including FASTWHEATIE who didn’t post predictions for the five games on Tuesday) correctly picked the Eagles to win, but no one got the score right.

After Apple Valley’s big upset over Edina Tuesday night, they fell a little short this evening in losing to #16AA Eagan. The final was:
Eagan 3, Apple Valley 2
Amazing that of our 21 contestants a total of SIX got the 3-2 score right and, in doing so, pick up the bonus point. This has to be a "correct score" record in these contests for any single game. Otherwise, 13 others picked higher-ranked Eagan to win and they add one point each.
With two games yet to be reported, I do hope to post an interim Leaderboard before retiring for the evening.

An upset – at least according to most of our so-called “experts” here:
North Wright County 4, Buffalo 0
Kaleigh Hamann’s two goals and an assist led NWC over rival Buffalo, at Buffalo. And Alex LaMere stopped all 29 shots to earn the shutout for the River Hawks.
In our contest 14 had predicted a Bison win, and 4 others predicted the two teams would tie, so only 4 pick up a single point in this one.

Scores:
Orono 7, Rogers 2
Warroad 5, East Grand Forks 1
The Warroad/EGF game was actually played last night (Thursday). Not sure if there was a scheduling change or if I originally put in under Friday's games by mistake?
Also, the Hub's website seems to be experiencing some issues this evening, and so I'm not able to access the scoresheets for either game.
In our Week 4 contest Orono and Warroad were overwhelming favorites to win their games, and in fact the votes were 21-0 in each. No correct scores in the Orono/Rogers game, but there were four who guessed the score in the Warroad/EFG matchup (hockeyfan87, Bleedinred, MNHockeyFan
and Hieronymus).
Going into tomorrow's final three games for the week, Bleedinred has emerged to grab sole possession of 1st Place. However four others are in close pursuit so Bleedinred will need to keep the momentum going to ensure the victory!

All three of today's games are now reported as final, and it was:
Minnetonka 4, Hill-Murray 0
Amy Peterson scored three goals for the hat trick to lead the Skippers past Hill Murray. Sydney Baldwin assisted on all four of Tonka's goals, and Sydney Rossman stopped all 22 shots she faced in blanking the Pioneers. A very convincing win for No. 1 ranked Minnetonka over a strong Hill-Murray team, which suffered just its second loss of the season (the other being to No. 1A Warroad).
In our contest all but one had Minnetonka winning and they pick up one point each.
Hastings 5, Cretin-Derham Hall 1
A battle of the Raiders ended up being a setback for CDH, a team that had recently been playing very well. Five different players scored for Hastings, including Kiki Radke who also contributed three assists. For the game Hastings outshot CDH 33-17.
But most of our contestants picked CDH to win this one, and in fact only Racki2016 and capitalpride forecasted a Hastings win.
Eden Prairie 7, Breck 3
Six different Eden Prairie players scored goals in their convincing win over Breck. Lots of offense in this one as the two team combined for 79 shots on net, with the Eagles getting 49 of them.
The vote tally here was 15 to 4 in favor of EP, with two predicting it would be a tie.
Also note that there were no correct score predictions in any of the three Saturday games.
SO, in our final point totals for Week 4, it was Bleedinred hanging in there, with two points today and 12 for the week, to claim 1st Prize. Finishing in a tie for 2nd were sinbin and D16Dad who totaled 11 points each, just a point behind.
Congrats to Bleedinred and thanks to all other contestants for participating!
I've already got Week 5's games picked out, and you'll see a full slate of qualifying games, including some very interesting matchups that I guarantee won't be easy to predict!
