Couldn't pick just 5 so I decided to do a top 10

(10) Eden Prairie v. Hill-Murray - 2009. I remember the suspense of the overtime goal being reviewed, especially with the circumstances Hill had during the season to make it to state. Very fun game to watch.

(9) Duluth East v. Edina - 2011. Defending champs go down to a northern team in overtime.

(8) Duluth East v. White Bear Lake - 2011. Double OT game in a game where it didn't feel like it was going to be close at all. High pace action lots of fun and high tension levels in the overtime periods.

(7) Hill-Murray v. Edina - 2008. Watching the Edina fab 5 get this close to a state championship and watch them get shut out was fascinating. Loved this game as you could feel the pressure all the Edina players felt.

(6) Rochester Century v. Hill-Murray - 2007. 1AA takes on a top team in the state (a private school no less) and beats them in an overtime shootout.

(5) Moorhead v. Edina - 2009. Edina's fab 5 career ends at the X to a team from the north, and they never accomplish their goal of a state championship.

(4) Grand Rapids v. Burnsville - 2007. Perhaps the most exciting 5 minutes of hockey I've ever seen. Thank God I chose not to leave.

(3) Eden Prairie v. Duluth East - 2011. Eden Prairie's "super grade" goes out on top in a triple overtime thriller.

(2) Minnetonka v. Hill-Murray - 2010. 4 overtimes is all that needs to be said.

(1) Edina v. Benilde- St. Margaret's - 2008. Most exciting state tournament game I have ever attended. 5-4 in overtime Benilde kept haning on and Meyers absolutely stood on his head

5. Lakeville South over Duluth East's dream team, 2012
4. Moorhead over the Edina Fab 5, 2009 (in my opinion, a greater upset than LVS/DE--that Moorhead team had zero D-I players)
3. Minnetonka over Hill in 4 OTs, 2010
2. Grant Besse over Hill, 2012
1. Eden Prairie over Duluth East on the Rau championship dive in the 3rd OT, 2011
I would agree with this list.....I still watch this every once in a while.....How is #3 doing on the interference calls this year?
Comfortably leading the team in PIM. And getting in his share of legal big-time hits, too. :)

One game I'm surprised not to see mentioned yet is the 2011 Class A final...yes, I know STA won, but it was still pretty entertaining.

Class A? Why not start a thread about the most memorable Bantam A state tournament games?

**Yes, I know that I had a Class A game as a part of my list.

Honestly, I think it's because a lot of people are down at the Friday semis, so most people watch. But the Saturday A final seems to be on so early & I'm still usually recovering from the night before, what with all the running in between games to The Liffey & the post game efforts at McGoverns. I'm almost hockey'd out that I need a few hours to recover before the AA championship. I don't really remember many A finals that seem to be memorable....not saying that there haven't been, I just haven't been watching.

Oh, I hear you...I watched that game from a hotel a few blocks from the X. But since there were some other Class A games mentioned, I figured I'd throw that one out there.

Come to think of it, that's the only Class A final I've watched in the past few years, though usually because I was hauling myself down to Mariucci to watch East in the consolation round.

2. The Eden Prairie over Duluth East championship and Kyle Rau's heroic championship goal. I think I more remember how phsical East was throughout the game but EP just kept chugging away.
I will always remember this from JoJo Jeanetta's point of view. One of the finest unsung goalies in MN takes an OT loss in the state 'ship on a garbage goal (no disrespect to Rau, he scored for one reason -- will power, which he still has in spades).

He never got the respect he deserved -- maybe because of the forward firepower of that team -- and this sort of cemented it.
Well JoJo did mishandle the puck which led to the garbage goal.
Sneaked through the 5 hole..The defenseman whiffed on the clearing attempt.

I also believe that JoJo got stiffed when the "best of" awards were handed out...He was pretty much a rock for three days.
Buy ya a soda after the game!
