GPGT: $25 a night!?! Score! Now that is a sweet deal. $3o for a cab minus $12-$15 for parking sounds like a good deal to me.

May what to see if the hotel has a free shuttle, even if it's only convenient one way. If I ran a Bloomington hotel I'd organize a tourney shuttle with a couple of other hotels every year.

The RiverCentre ramp is big, and I believe that the daily contract parkers(?) are not allowed to park there those days. There is a ramp down Kellogg, just east across the street (Minnesota St?) from the Crowne Plaza. I doubt that fills up, it's only a few block walk, and I think I paid $7 last year at the WCHA Final Five. the city runs it. It has a "Peoples Bank" Sign on it.

Alarys has a ramp down 7th - it isn't within walking distance (unless you really like to walk), but they run numerous shuttles for free (at least in years past), you may have to buy at least a beer inside to get a shuttle ticket now. They also used to validate your parking if you had a beverage inside - though I'm not sure if they still do that, as times are changing.

One more thing: Don't be in a rush to get to your seats by 11:00 (or 6:00). The last couple of years they haven't dropped the puck until 19 minutes after the hour. We must pay homage to the gods of television, and defer to their every whim.

Free parking with as long as I get a drink, plus shuttle service? Life is rough. :) Thanks for the parking info.

Also, to add to the discussion of start times, East is giving 11:19 as the official puck-drop for East-Moorhead.

I would not recommend Hunan Garden. After may years the Mrs. and I popped in there last year and it has not been kept up well and did not look like cleanliness is held in high regard.
