Interesting. I read one report claiming he was a bit behind the other players at the tryout camp. He was listed as being "cut" and "reassigned". Now he's listed on the preseason roster despite not playing in either preseason game.
Best of luck to young Mr. Passolt, but it looks like succeeding in the WHL could be a bit of a challenge for him. I hope everything works out for the best.

When it said he was reassigned, Passolt chose to go home to protect his NCAA eligibility and decide what he wanted to do. He eventually decided to go to PA.
It seems a little strange, because he still doesn't have a spot on the team. His NCAA eligibility will be gone. Not sure what that does for HS eligibility if he doesn't make the Raiders.

We'll see about that when MG ends Blaine's season at the Coliseum next February.
