Well, Rapids has the right idea through two. Shepherd is standing on his head, the D's packed it in and been good enough, and they look sharp in transition when they do get their chances. Good PP, too.

We'll see if they can withstand a third period of the Edina assault, though...

And some no calls on offensive opportunities for GR. Again poor officiating. Hits from behind need to be called along with hits when the player is leaving there feet/jumping to throw a check. Shepherd has been the only big name player that has impressed IMO.

Red Wing 3, Holy Angels 2 OT
Red Wing was 1-6 and outscored 48-8 in 7 games.
How did this happen?
1) RW vs AHA games are always a good game
2) RW Goalie played great
3) AHA freshman goalie, even with Mains in goal don't know if STARS win.

AHA outshot them 42 -21 and AHA played probably the best TEAM game of the year in my opinion.

BTW I made it to Braemar for the 3rd and OT. GR is going to be awesome the next two years.....Edina looks like Edina.

Don't know if I'd say that about GR. They gave up 64 shots, only reason this game wasn't a blowout was Shepherd. He is a senior and gone after this year, as well as Peterson.

Hope your not basing your opinion about Rapids based on how they looked in the 3rd period and OT???

I agree with shaver. Take away Shepherd and Peterson that had nothing left in the tank and I didn't see much of anything from GR. They matched Edina's 3 goals with a couple of softies before the Edina goalie shut the door. Maybe it was the amount of fore checking pressure and time spent in the GR d zone but I can't recall seeing as many defensive turnovers in a single game with bad clearing passes to the center or weak side. EP started slow but was the cream of the crop last night. Should be fun and telling tonight.
