Unless you count the losses to Chisholm and Aurora Hoyt Lakes. 😳
I definitely count the losses as part of the season. If I remember correctly, they lost about 5 games that year. I believe 3 in a row at one point. (The years kind of run together)
They were able to pick up momentum as the post season went on though.

And since we are on post number 1981 I will mention that was the season that GR and Jefferson played an awesome quarterfinal into OT with Jefferson getting their dynasty cranked up after that win. My first game ever in person at the Civic Center.

Oh I remember it well.....the blue line gets in the way of D-man Marty Pirjevic and the Jag player goes in all alone and scores.

I was in the end of the rink behind Kaczor. I remember they were setup in the Jefferson end and he just caught an edge. It happens- I felt bad for him because he was a great guy and that was a real good team too.

I also remember it was the 2nd afternoon game that Thursday and the lobby was full of people who were shocked Edina and GR were already out of it.

Post number 1982 reminds me that 1982 was the first year since 1973 GR did not make the tournament.
