Bemidji 4, D East 3 in ot

Has East ever started a season 0-4? Not counting the 2004-05 season when they forfeited their first five games of the season, it hasn't happened since at least 1968-69. My records don't go further back than that, so maybe Karl has better info than I have. Either way, this sort of sucks.

Realize it might not mean much for East fans, but at least they are being competitive. The GR and Jacks games could’ve gone either way. And losing to Chaska, heh. They’ll be a great team this year…

The GR game could also have gone 1-6, so good for the Hounds making it close. They are not a bad team and have some winnable games on the schedule, but will probably have a similar record again this year with about 5-8 wins. Certainly a less than ideal situation for a new coaching staff to take over.

Spot on. That Wayzata game was brutal.... Gonna be a long few seasons for East. A shame to see what's happened to that program. I'm hopeful they can turn the corner, but not sure how much patience folks will have...
