Has it crossed anyones mind that maybe Scheid has told her not to worry about back-checking or being a solid two way player??? Her role is to score goals! Thats it. Take over the game offensively and score goals first, pass second and play D third. As long as she doesn't make any glaring mistakes like dumb turnovers, shes done her job. She plays how & <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>where</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> she's told to play. Not entirely uncommon among other top offensive players on other teams as well. <p></p><i></i>

I disagree with this coaching philosophy but have heard similar comments to some of our GREATER local players too. Actually form a college coach suggesting that our team change the roles of a great player. I would suggest to them the best player plays well in all aspects. BUT if that is what works for a team and coach so be it. <p></p><i></i>

Not saying I agree with philosphy - just stating that I understand it. Agreeing with & understanding two different things I think...<br><br>My teams play D first. <p></p><i></i>
