2005-6 KRACH Computer Rankings...

Was going to talk about the latest KRACH rankings, but ran out of time this morning.<br>Coon Rapids is at #5; are they the 5th best team in the state? They're ahead of Wayzata, CDH, Roseville, Cloquet...<br>ELK RIVER; after beating Stillwater, Hill Murray, CDH and winning the top division of the Schwann Cup, they dropped a spot from 22 to 23 ?! Still paying for those early losses, I guess...<br>Blake at 13, Warroad at 15; I have a feeling they could beat at least a few of the teams above them...<br><br>I guess its all up to the computer, without the benefit of watching teams play, and "knowing" who's better or not. <p></p><i></i>

I believe the Krach weights all games played equally. So the early losses count as much as the current winning streak. If I have this correct, teams which improve a lot during the season would possibly be underrated. <p></p><i></i>

Mayo has done a nice job on its schedule no doubt....they had too. Look at Lakeville North... Lake games and then top it off with North St. Paul and Creighton. I've seen the Panthers play and they will grind it out to the end. If their goalie is "hot" they will beat Mayo for 1AA. They too are well coached like Mayo. Their players want to work for that staff!! <p></p><i></i>
