LPH Final rankings
How you can rank Cloquet above Stillwater is beyond me. Stillwater beat them twice, 5-1 and 3-1 outshooting them by a wide margin, had a better record and played a tougher schedule. Only one team in the state had more wins and they ended up as state champs.
Only thing i can figure is they only lost to EP 3-1. Cloquet squeezes by moorhead in 2OT's and stillwater pounds moorhead 9-2. Go figure.

Re: LPH Final rankings
Maybe the question should be:

How would everyone rank the teams at year end???

I don't agree 100% with these rankings either, but there does need to be a balance between what happens at tourney, who makes it to the tourney, and what we saw all year long. If teams split, I look at common opponents and who won last in addition to SOS & overall record against strong teams, etc.

11-20; seldom layed out here, or on LPH's site sometimes.
11) Centennial
12) Burnsville
13) CDH
14) Eagan
15) Bemidji
16) Rochester Mayo/Lourdes
17) Moorhead
1 Maple Grove
19) Anoka
20) Grand Rapids/Greenway

Last thoughts; tough to see NSP 6th. After playing even with Stillwater in the section final, I'd keep NSP right behind the Ponies in the rankings. LPH may have given AHA a little higher rank than I expected after their 2nd loss at state. While Bemidji beat Moorhead twice during the regular season, their last meeting (when Moorhead was finally healthy) was decisively won by Moorhead. Still, Bemidji wound up 2 spots higher, I suppose because of their total wins.
