The rink at Johnson high school, are you smoking something johnson prez? I know drugs can be a problem for urban areas, but that makes as much sense as the Metrodome being a great ice arena.

I would say that the Johnson Rink is a very nice rink to play in. Maybe not the pro level, but you don't need to bash someone for an opinion.

Isn't it true that you coach at johnson?? Why would you rip on the building if it you are such a great johnson guy?? Show some class for JOHNSON and the Organization for once. All I ever hear you say if negative things about johnson if you aren't happy maybe you should leave and G-PO should stay!!!

i would think the X is the best place overall out of all of those rinks. and plus, you forgot to put in the TRF rink. That has to be the top

Best Hockey Rink

For me it is where I like to watch a game(s). Not play, not coach, not ref... everyone should have their own basis and then their own criteria. And then apply it to their own experience.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer.

The main criteria (for me) is tradition. Second is view of the game.
Third would be the teams playing.
Fourth would be the extra amenities - restrooms, food and everage, parking....

The little Ralph, although it has great pictures on the wall, has wonderful accomodations, it is too big and new. I love the Huck, but not top ten.

The Ralph is great but as far as smaller rinks go I like the rink Pequot Lakes plays in at Breezy Point.

Cloquet's old rink is a beauty. How many fans got carted off the ice over the years from an inadvertent puck being shot in the stands? It had to be loud for high school rivalry games and somewhat intimidating for the opposition to come into that place.

I've never played in the Cloquet rink, so that won't be on my list.

Best to watch in
X
Mini Ralph
Gardens in Warroad
Coleraine (Only because of that sweet overhang thing)

Best to play in
The rink next to the Gardens (Cold, just how I like it)
Moorhead Rink (The cold side)

Worst to play in
Centennial Arena (Don't know why, I just hate that place)
St. Cloud Rink (Way too warm)

minnesota st. hockey,

the civic center is one of the worst rinks that i have ever played on. First off the ice is really soft. Second the locker rooms are so hot and they are barely big enough to fit a 15 man team. I think that is pretty sad considering they have to host college teams who have 20 players. In my opinion the mini ralph and the barn. The mavericks also need a rink on campus. they should see if they can get another donation from glen taylor.

I have to say that hermantown has an awsome rink

between them getting their boards and glass from the nashville preditors practice rink and also having 5 outdoor rinks

thats what minnesota hockey is all about
