I don't think the imperious (For you bettman: https://www.google.com/search?espv=2&bi ... CCcQ_SowAA) Scout can even deny Luverne is the favorite in the section at this point. It certainly doesn't guarantee anything, but this section goes through BMIA at this point.
Actually the Section Playoffs go through GAC. Neutral site for the Semis and Finals.
GAC has been a HOUSE OF HORRORS for Luverne in past playoff years. Last year they were fortunate to get to play in the band box in Mankato for the Final wont get that this year IF they even make the final
And what a dump to play and watch a game in!
Could not AGREE with you more. GAC has to be one of the worst venues for Playoff Hockey.
Why not Verizon in Mankato ?? Play it in the new place the Stampede of the USHL have why not??

Not sure what is going on but heard some unrest in the stands yesterday about the current goaltending issue again this year. Seems the Coach wants to play his 9th grade Nephew over the incumbent Junior. Been giving up a lot of goals as of late.
Get your ducks in a row before talking about unrest with the goalie issue. His nephew has played in TWO games this year, one being in the holiday tournament where each goalie got a start and the other being against St. Peter. TWO OF THIRTEEN. Hutch has been giving up a lot of goals as of late as a whole, not just the 9th grade goalie.

Denny is on line one....
The GAC is well-known around MN and especially the MIAC for having incredible ice. Fan experience isn't the best and there could be more seating but its not like they're turning people away at the door. What more do you want from the place? As a player I thought it was a cool experience with the student sections above the ice shouting across at one another. The ice though, you cant beat it.
Have you ever skated at an EVENT facility before? Ice is almost always soft, choppy, and wet. Yeah, you get a big bowl of seats, a big scoreboard, and a $7 hotdog but it isn't as great as it seems. USHL teams usually get the shaft in terms of ice quality. Modest sized event facilities are especially bad for ice quality.
Take your pic. Nice ice.....or a big bowl (which will be mostly EMPTY seats) with $7 hotdogs.
Looking at it from a distance it appears it was a pretty close game. Hutch pulls away in the third giving them the leg up on the #2 seed in the section. Anyone have an in person account to help us out? Where is Hutch2State guy?

Think it should be a good match up on Saturday!
What a great day for the State of Hockey!
It should be relatively tight game. Johnson is tough to play against at times, work their tails off and physical. Plus, it's outdoors. It actually benefits Johnson to play outside and slow down 8 and 7. I say 4-2 Luverne.

The forecast looks pretty mild for saturday, The refrigerated Ice should be good. Wind is 10-15 MPH. I anticipate the conditions having a smaller impact then past HDM's.
I agree with you, it is an advantage for Johnson, but it might become marginalized with the mild conditions.
I wouldn't be so sure about one team having an advantage over the other. Have the Luverne boys been practicing on the outdoor rink next to BMIA in preparation for HDM?

I've been imagining a scene from a bad movie where whiner is a talking boil growing out of nT's neck. If he's just a kid, then I really need to change my entire thought process - the boil needs to look much younger.
