...and to think people were making a big deal on this board about Hermantown only beating Proctor 2-1 the second time they played. A game in which they never trailed and a rivalry at that.

3-2 Duluth East finally gets the go-ahead goal against Superior with 6.9 seconds left after trailing 2-0.

4-2 empty netter.

I know but Superior had six guys that couldn't prevent that.

That's not hard to do, drop the puck, clean draw, and fire away. Done in 3 seconds, easily.

Go back and find highlights of that State Tourn. game... was it Phil Housley, et al. & Burnsville? I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the most controversial endings of a game and how could they score from a center ice face off with so little time left (it wasn't an empty netter either).

Someone can help me on this one, yr, teams involved?

When you pull you're goalie you're not in PREVENT mode!

...just a thought, and I had to have a play on your words.

I blacked out and thought I heard somebody yell "CLEAR!". Then I felt a jolt and came back around.

Props to Superior. They were outplayed all game but had East on the ropes. Once again, I had flashbacks to a certain Denfeld team from the 90's with players named Zapp, Burleigh and Gustafson.

Yikes. Felt good to get out of there with a win but the better team did prevail in the end.

No. Rob Johnson scored with 2:04 to go to tie the game @ 2. Reiner gave East the lead with 7 seconds left and Johnson tallied an empty netter with 2 seconds left. 4-2 final.

So would ppl put this in the same category as the herm/proctor, marshall/scc game?? Meaning the other team got alot of lucky bounces

Marshall SCC was a good, even hockey game with two even hockey teams. Hermantown Proctor is more like it.
