I hope people saw that Rogers was all that was said about them by holding the game to a 1-1 game until midway in the 3rd period.
Were they a # 9 seed? i'll let the Blaine folks answer that, I think Rogers made their point, as it took the #1 seed all three periods to knock off the Royals.
I'm very proud of the way the Royals season went and I think they made the showing that they are not just this average A team that a lot of people said about them.
Great job Royals and good game Bengals good luck on your way thru.
EREmpire sorry I didn't see your post of where I would be sitting, but if you were there in the blue jacket I was right behind you..... if not oh well he was a nice guy as well.

Anyway it was a fun game...to bad it's over for this year.
Oh and just an update on Rogers # 21 who took that bone crushing hit at center ice ..there was no damage he's doing fine..tough kid I'd say!

It wasn't an argument but they were obviously better then the 8 seed when it counted....at home too!
It was 3-2 you (champlin) lost in OT in early December then again lost 6-1 in the latter half of Jan. which you failed to mention.
Just an FYI...the first Blaine/CP game that was 3-2 ot had Blaine with 40+ shots to 16 for CP and Jaeger had an incredible game.
Yesterday's game was a good game and Rogers has nothing to hang their heads at. They played Blaine tough and I'm sure had many of their fans and coaches a little nervous. They worked very hard and their goalie played outstanding. They were definitely starting to wear down before they scored their goal, which gave them enough life to make them dangerous. Blaine didn't play their best game but played well enough to win. They had several players who had been out with the flu or were playing with the flu, and it showed somewhat. But they toughened it out and got the job done. Good luck to Blaine the rest of the way and good luck to the Royals in the future - you did yourselves proud!
That was a clean hit and one of the best i've seen all year. The puck may have been behind the guy a little but if he doesn't get hit it is a one on one anyways

rogers wasn't a 9 seed but they weren't a 2, 3, or 4 seed either. You Rogers faithful were right to question the 9 seed but not right by thinking they are better than Wayzata, Anoka, or MG. They were a quality team but not in that elite category yet.

So that would put them at 6? If so, this might be your best post yet rbk.
