Nicely done Bengals. They will represent the NWSC & 4AA very well.

Also, how 'bout Rogers? 1-1 midway through the 3rd w/ a State bound team. I'm proud. :D

I tried to warn ya IS, but ya just wouldn't listen.

Anoka vs. Blaine

Baudette couldn't do anything against Anoka last year against Anoka's same defense. I'm taking Anoka 4-3. Blaines not any better than last years team, and only beat Anoka somewhere aroun 6-3 last year. Anoka's team this year is more than double what it was last year.
PuckHog99 wrote:First things first... I don't even think Anoka is that great of a team! I just hate how people talk on here like they know hockey when they really dont. Blaine is not that great of a team, this game really could have went either way. GET your facts straight before you talk AGAIN.... the Armstrong Anoka game was nothing but a battle of special teams, the entire game was powerplays and penaltie kills literally. Then the Wayzata game HAHa "barely slipped by" Anoka led 4-1 throughout third period, Wayzata scored two goals in the last 30 seconds... "barely slipped by".......................... ](*,) NIce comment
PuckHog99 wrote:Your stats are a little off (powerplay/penalty kill)........but thats ok, will let you feel smart. Besides the style of play changed after the 5th goal, if you know anything about hockey you'l know you play a bit more OFFENSIVE aka float to try and score when the game is out of reach WHICH would result in 3 MORE goals that would hurt a players plus minus even more. A person who bases a players talent on their plus minus of one game without looking at how this game ended up is a complete fool.

Blaine really is overrated, I guarantee they don't make it to the state tournament.
Beaudette and Lynch would take almost any line mate duo in the state offensively!! Johnson and Schaber aren't slouches either, can you say Explosive Offense. You are a complete idiot and just need to face the facts that ANOKA BLOWS!!! And can't compete with Blaine in any game.

None of Anoka's lines match up with Blaine's but maybe the 3rd lines... and thats even an if!

The lack of hockey knowledge by some of the rubes who post on here is truly hilarious...anyone who was at the game witnessed (to quote BIGSEXY) a "thriller"...the entire third period and overtime was played by each teams top two lines with Anoka inserting Adam Iverson at RW on O'Neill's line with Belisle going toe to toe with Beaudette, Lynch and Hansen while Noonan, Scott and Olson battled Johnson, Schaber and #33. ...Lesmeister, Campbell, Setterberg and Manthey battling Carson, Hicke, and several talented sophomore Blaine D...both teams had great chances in the third period and overtime...and Lynch made the game winning play.

Senior Beaudette with 58 points, Senior Lynch with 56 points, Junior O'Neill with 50 points...and Senior Brodhog (ER) with 51 points...the numbers prove who stood apart this season in the NWSC.

Eason finally delivered the performances he was capable of in the Section play-offs...he saved Anoka in the CR game, he played well in the MG game and he was outstanding in the Blaine game...he got his team to OT in the Section Final game...he along with Iverson, Noonan & Setterberg will be greatly missed next season...and Senior Nate Holley delivered some crushing checks last night and scored a huge goal vs. MG...he along with Derks, Stetson and Groen will also be missed.

Congrats to Blaine on the win...they EARNED it on the ice. Enough said.

Put stripes back on those dark socks next season and they'll be blowing into St. Paul. Guaranteed.
