I am curious to know the "keys to the game" for both sides
what will it take for the Flyers to win
for the Hawks to win

This is kinda off topic but doesn't seem that the two number 1 seeds (Hermantown and Edina) got the toughest draws in the first round?

i'll admit as a fan i did not want to play Little Falls out the door.
I bet Edina is saying the same about G.R.

Grant Huttel and Izaak Berglund

Which one moves the puck out of D-zone and up the ice better.

Yes - both received unlucky draws. Either seed all 8 teams or go back to no seeds.

I think you mean Chad Huttel as Grant is a forward

I picked this as the big upset in the state tourney game, and I'm sticking by it. Hermantown has a strong defense and great goaltending, but I still think the Flyers will put on enough goals in regulation to send this to the overtime win.

Little Falls - 4 (OT)
Hermantown - 3
4-1 H-town, they have been dominant all season vs. A and AA both. I don't doubt that Little Falls has a great team, but Hermanville has the skill to run through the AA tourney if they so desired.
Skills to run through my butt! Those boys are 2 slow... everyone saw what happen the first time they met. it was a 3-3 tie, All i know is that a few of hermantowns best will be spending a lot of time in the box, hand check i might add... u will c!

I've been saying that all along Angus!! Another stupid idea to seed top four and then random the next four.

I wonder how the NCAA basketball teams would react if the #1 seeds had to play the #4 or #5 seeds right out of the shoot!?

looking forward to watching it.

Little Falls scrimmaged Hermantown six weeks ago and scored 5 goals on them.

* interesting tidbit *

Little Falls was without Ben Hanowski & Lucas Jorgensen.

This game could be a high-scoring affair ... lot's of goals ... but still a one-goal game.

this will deffinetly be a high scoring game due to the lack of solid goaltending for little falls and also the high powered offense of Falls.

Ill go...

7-4 Hermantown

A high scoring affair would be right up the Flyers alley - they do not have the D or goaltending to keep it tight. As detailed earlier, Cooch needs to let his horses run to try and outscore the Hawks.

Who cares what they did in a scrimmage 6 weeks ago.. that isn't the same as the state tournament.. i doubt the intensity of that scrimmage will be the same as the game tomorrow. Hermantown is very capable of giving up a lot of goals but they are really playing good hockey right now and they will be tough to beat. They made Hibbing look like a joke last week.. this game could get very ugly for LF if Hermantown hasn't lost their momentum..
