My guess is the poster questioning his assist total is probably accusing some of them as being "phantom" assists as if somebody was padding the kid's stats.SEMinnHockeyNut wrote:Check the stats.
I doubt that would be true of the kid's numbers because he is a very good player. But there are always a few conspiracy theorists out there.

Common sense and book smarts are two different things.minnmoose5 wrote:He's pretty smart 4.0 in school. Top average in his class at Virginia. Pretty smart I think
I know someone who was top in my class 2 years ago, and he's not smart, not street smart. You can't translate how smart a person is at Chemistry to how smart he is at hockey.
Crosby, you seem to have something against Youso, what gives?
I've talked to several people that seem to think he will go first or second round next year, so I'm sure he must be more talented than you are giving him credit for.
As far as Nico goes, if he has attitude issues, he'd better straighten up quick because the NHL doesn't put up with that crap. They can't afford to have idiots like Vick or Sheffield in their league. All in all, talented from what I've seen, just needs to work on some of the extra stuff that will keep him in the game.

By far the best player. He is an all around player. You can not compare him to anybody. He played on the select USA teams. He has it all, he will also drop the gloves if he has too. His stats say enough although he is cocky.
I saw Nico play in a few games last year when he had the chance to drop the gloves but he didn't and just skated back to the bench.

Right but in HS hockey, why drop the gloves if you don't have to? Considering how important he was to Virginia, he was wise to skate back to the bench and not get caught up in fighting some guy from the other team.Little Falls Fan wrote:I saw Nico play in a few games last year when he had the chance to drop the gloves but he didn't and just skated back to the bench.
We'll see what he does in the USHL and whether he gets in any fights. He'd just get a major penalty there as opposed to the much stiffer repercussions of fighting in HS.
I'm sure the opposing team would have loved for Nico to drop the gloves in a High School game. He would be out for the rest of the game. Good game plan for opposing team, but I can't think he would be that stupid to hurt his team like that.Little Falls Fan wrote:TheShow Wrote:
