Be that as it may, but let's just hope the appearances look like this by then.

Nathan = 3
Silva = 0

IS, what will the Twins have to do when they get to this point in their rotation in order to win?

Let's see here, could it be hit the Boofin ball

or

Give our offseason-free agent-8th place hitting-DH a cortizone shot so he can be in the lineup.

Outstanding work Neut.

Is Ponson on the left, or is it Silva, or is it Reyes?

I can see it now, Ortiz goes on the DL after getting trampled on the way to the buffet table.

Hit the Boofin' ball...

PUT DOWN THE BOOFIN FORK!!!

I have a bad feeling the Twins lose tonight. Jaret Wrong has been very good in the beginning of the season and always falls off at the end of the year, or at least he did with the Yanks. Ortiz had better bring it because I don't know how much O the Twins will be getting. (And yes, I would love for them to prove me completely wrong, but this is just my gut talking and we all know what that's worth)

So I was about as close as Slappy with my prediction... only difference is that I will admit I am wrong.

Yea EREmpire, what the heck is wrong with you. Just as I think you are cool enough to talk civily with, you go betting against the home team again.

p.s. More like that Larry guy and Matt LeCroy. I think they make a better match. But how about Mike Redmond and Bob Slydel??

Just like I said.

I liked Ortiz's stuff and his enthusiasm last night.

SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twins playing pretty good baseball in the first series. They have to keep it up though because they have two hard series with the White Sox and the Yankees in the next week.

With the way the Sox are playing (see: pitching), I'd have to think that the Twins are almost a lock for 2 out 3. Santana's throwing on Sunday, so if Ponson can go 6 innings on Saturday, we should be looking at just taking our lumps with Silva on the hill tomorrow.

Easy there Tiger, don't throw around the "L" word yet.

Fri and Sat temps will not leave the 30's. Thome, Dye, and Konerko were worth more than a 100 dingers last year and Erstad is off to a great start making a great hitting lineup even better.

CLE and CHI are two yards that just make me itchy.

I wouldnt be too giddy about playing the White Sox with Ponson and Silva leading the way.

Cleveland can slug with anybody. If you dont pitch well against them, they will beat on you.

Same is true with the White Sox.

The Twins and the Tigers are built the same way. The Sox and Tribe are built the same way.

I dont like our chances with Silva and Ponson against the Sox. Mediocre pitching can keep teh Twins in check. Not so much with the Sox.

I said "almost"... but honestly, the Twins are swinging the twig well and Chicago's pitching is just a hair shy of atrocious, so I think it's realistic.

You never take anything for granted in the AL Central (just ask the Tigers about the Royals), but I think this could be a successful weekend for our boys. When the Twins/Sox thread goes up, I'll be picking them for 2 out of 3.

Oh - I guess I won't necessarily be waiting for the new thread...
