I have been to most of the Rosemount games this year, and while they have their moments of unsportsmanlikle action, so do every other team. That is part of hockey, and when emotions get involved, things happen that shouldn't.

Hats off to Tonka on a great win, and both teams will be tough to beat in their sections.

I am not sure that punching a kid, or taking a swing at a kid is part of every hockey game.

Maybe Rosemount is a bit thin skinned. That might be the element that stops them from going far in the playoffs.
I did not mean to sound like I was condoning these actions, and if it sounded that way, I apologize. I agree that the playoffs will end prematurely if they cannot keep their heads.

Well, just to let you know, all offense no defense doesn't get you ranked 12th in the country for Seniors.

Must be for academics, because it certainly isn't for hockey skills.
Okay i overheard someone talking about this subject at the game. I was just putting it out there. I'm not saying that i know it is true but i wouldn't be suprised if it was due to the fact that Jake was on the USA Under 18 team this past summer playing in Slovakia and the Czeck Republic this past summer. Check the latest edietion of LPH theres an article on him.

Just a few thoughts

1. somebody said McManus was ineffective, he scored... how is that inneffective

2. The sportsmanship, i saw at least 2 instances where a tonka player tackled a rosemount puck carrier

3. Brown was playing with a concussion, i thought he showed a lot of heart, but you guys on here love to get down on anyone who is better than you

Rosemoutn fans keep proclaiming that they are a top 5 or 6 team in state and yes, they did beat Holy Angels (which by the way is looking less impressive after the Star's loss last night) but they also lost handily to an okay Jefferson team and were man-handled by Minnetonka. Don't get me wrong Minnetonka is great, but Rosemount is not a great team just good.

If everyone said Minnetonka was going to win this game, why are you down gradeing Rosemount? They lost to a team that is very very good. How about Burnsville losing to Eagan 4-0 who Rosemount burried. Great teams show up every night game in and game out..Rosemount simply did not show up, Im not going to make excuses. They have played 8 games so far this season and 4 of them have been against top ranked teams, Rosemount is a great team...if they come to play.

And for the person who stated #19(Percy) checked a kid from behind I would like to know if that happend in the First period because thats the only part of the game I missed and i didnt see this at all in the game that I got to see? Minnetonka is a scary good team, I really like the way they play and #19 and #18 for Tonka are VERY good players!

Usually tackling a player is an attempt to keep them from scoring. It is a penalty, but how can you say tackling a player is a CHEAP SHOT. Bottom line is Rosemount got chippy and Minnetonka kept out of it for the most part.

The phrase "cheap shot" does not appear once in my previous post so i fail to see where your pulling that arguement from.

When you say sportsmanship, it implies that you are calling the hits dirty, and a dirty hit is a cheap shot.
