you bet

Had HM won in 85 and 86, they would have had 3 championships in 4 years. As it was, they got there 4 times in 7 years.

Hoping for a good showing this year. WBL scares me as does Tartan. They always seem to be up for HM. A hot goalie can take a team far. HM needs to be sure not to play at their opponents level. If the Mahtomedi game showed anything, it's that Philippi (sp) still gives up the "soft one" too often and some of the defensemen are caught out of position too much and were walked around pretty easily. Sova got walked around a few times but was able to recover because of his reach.

Had Burnsville not gotten upset by HM in 83' and lost to Kennedy in 87' they would of had 4 championships in 5 years

True but I can't say that 83 was an upset. HM was 27-0 coming into the game while B-ville had 5 losses but 4 in 5 years would have been something. That was a great time for B-ville hockey, as much as I hated to lose.

That '83 team was fun to watch. Thought it was funny to see Terry's team take on his brother's in the playoffs. Talk about coaches in two different hockey worlds.

A Hill-Story needs color in order to raise High-Brows. You have to provide more than just stats and game winners.

Here, let me give you an example:
When Hill destroyed International Falls once and forever, the Broncos had this big ugly bruiser who was even uglier when he smiled. Big and Ugly liked to talk a lot of trash, but when push became shove, it turned out that BIAFP was afraid of even Ankles Pierre. Thus ended the golden hockey days of our National Icebox.
Now, that's a High-Brow Hill-Story!

How about this team?

A roster that boasted eight future D1 players, Hill-Murray had one of its most dominant regular seasons ever. Their only loss was to unranked Burnsville, despite out shooting the Blaze 47-18, and came after three victories over top-three opponents.

Regular Season record was 21 - 1. I would like to hear more about this team. This team had a 15-game win streak that included a 9-2 win at Jefferson.
