Goaltending is probably the toughest one to pick. I have no problem with the choice. There other tenders that are deserving but they only choose one.

disagree, hes no where near the top goalie in the metro. He, like Cashetta is the product of an average goalie on a great team. With the team hes on and the schedule they play, if he was that good his stats should rival those of Lee from Roseau
Perfectly said Poor Imitation! Brilliant
An average goalie plays 4 years varsity for a powerhouse like Hill?

Congratulations to all players who were honored... all are great players and had excellent seasons.

IMO, Lee has been the MVP for Edina this season. Anything he has been asked to do he has done. From centering the 2nd line to double-shifting in the playoffs, the kid has been a warrior all season. Every time he is on the ice he controls the game.

Also, I only saw Michael Becker play a few times this year, but the few times I saw him play he looked like an all-metro caliber goalie. I'm not saying the other three guys who were honored don't deserve it, but there has been some dissent over which goalies should be there. What do you guys think?

Well put JR. Hill-Murray isn't going to place an "average" goaltender on their team, especially starting as a freshman.

I'm shocked by the omission of Anders Lee as well. Congrats to all the players who were selected.

The kids a great aggressive player its a shame parents out here bashing him all hte time. I can't wait until he makes it big time and he will. Then we will see all the band wagin jumpers.]

PS lets see if every post for the next 15 minutes only everyone could say something positive or nice about a player and not show our jealousy.
Relax Sally, I like a good physical player but what I saw of him (just a few times) he was a cheap shot. He also taunted my guy, just don't like the attitude.

McManus got worked in section finals, Gleason is probably just as deserving as Student but 3 Edina players on the 1st team would make them look biased.
Everyone hates private schools (and Edina)!!

Bergland (BM) and Walters (STA) should have both been no brainer All Metro. Birkhols from Blake should also have bumped a couple of the third teamers.
One of the key factors of these three players, Walters, Lee, Bergland is not just their numbers, but the impact of their play in big games. All three came up huge in their section play-offs, when it matters most.

Not so sure their teams would be playing this week without them. Best of luck to them with their teams this week.
