If these guys can't get this figured out in the next 45 minutes, I'm going to be stuck working OT because I won't be able leave the computer.

Fortunately Rocco just threw me a bone by hitting it into the bunker on 19.

Well, I guess he gets it done once again.

Not sure that it is all that well deserved based on today's round, but he finds a way to get it done. Gotta hand it to the guy.

PB ought to try posting out of the sand, that way he wouldn't be able to put any spin on it...

Nice win by El Tigre.

Anybody think he'll play again before the British Open or will he take the month off to let his knee heal? I don't get all the haters out there, they just don't get it. In 50 years when everyone is talking about him as the greatest golfer ever, are they going to say yeah, I always rooted against him...what's the point? Just be happy you get to witness what he's doing.

If he didn't have his own tournament in 2 weeks, I'd say there's no way he'd play before Royal Birkdale, but he has to play the tournament he hosts, doesn't he? I know he's all about majors, but c'mon... he has to play that one.

Not to take anything away from him - I'm as big of a Tiger fan as there is - but what exactly is the state of the rest of the PGA Tour when they can't beat the guy when he's on one leg? At some point it would be nice to see somebody step up and give him a legitimate fight for a prolonged period of time. Ernie tried, Phil tried, David Duval tried... they all fell away.

I guess it's just another sign of his dominance... he's had no peer for 15 years.

I don't know if he'll play in his tournament. Normally when he says he'll shut it down for a while, he means more than 2 weeks. Maybe he'll be there as the Grand Marshal or something like that. I don't see him putting the British Open in jeopardy.

Just because we rooted for Rocco doesnt mean we hate Tiger.

Tiger is great golf but we can root for Rocco if we want.

I agree Govs but for once somebody did stay with him and gave him a heck of a battle. Usually if he is on the leader board everybody curls up in the fetal positon and gets out of his way.

The Nicklaus era was more entertaining because Jack always had guys who would battke him and beat him.

Palmer, Player, Watson, Trevino and others won a lot of majors that Jack finished second in . Tiger doesnt have that. I think the 54 hole record is as much a comment on the rest of the field as it is on Tiger's greatness, which is undenialble. No Johnny Millers to shoot a final round 65 to win an Open vs Tiger.

My pick of VJ was pretty good, eh?

Tiger is no doubt the greatest golfer ever.

Rocco was a great story at the US open, it would of been quite a feat to take down the best.

I picked Tiger to win but found myself cheering for Rocco.

Anyways great Tournament. :D

Tiger is the best putter without a doubt.

Tiger is way stronger mentally than anyone else too.

But I also think Tiger is the luckiest player I've ever seen.

Great tournament!

I'll be excited to check him out at the PGA next year - I missed it in '02. I'm hoping to do something obnoxious enough to get Steve Williams to yell at me.

I'm sure you can accomplish that task with great ease! Just be yourself

hey someone had to receive my first shot back from sabbatical.

maybe I should host a BQ and allow parking at my house for special cafe members next year?? I'm less than a 1/2 mile from one of the gates.

Hmmm, how to get this approved by the boss ???? :-k :-k

Hey PB, I wasn't referring to the Cafe members as the haters, believe me, i was loving what Rocco was doing as well. I was referring to all the people on the radio/TV knocking Tiger, saying he was faking the knee thing, etc.

I'll be at the PGA next year, i had a great time there in '02. Nothing like watching those guys in real life. We were there real early Saturday morning, not many spectators there yet, i actually found some no namer's ball in the trees at one point. Great times...

.

I wasn't hating him, but I wasn't buying into how much he was hurting either. He seemed fine when things were going well. I consider myself to be a expert on knee pain. I just didn't feel sorry for him as if he was doing something extraordinary.
