havent been impressed by Gardiner at all...I've been watching him during his shifts...seems really lazy. doesn't hustle back or move his feet unless he has a chance to get the puck. I dont know if its just because they've played several games, but in my opinion hes not playing like a complete player. The U definitely does NOT need this type of player, especially after tonights game up in UND..

There was a game way back when when it went to more OT's than the DE/AV game, but the latter is the longest in terms of minutes played. I think they need to about the end of 5 or reach 6 to have it.crosscheck_this wrote:whats the record? #OTs/Year/Teams/Semis-Quarter-Champship???Nostalgic Nerd wrote:Lou on the OT's: "What can you say. Its the 7th period dude get real. No one is playing 100% except the net minders.MNSportsRube wrote:havent been impressed by Gardiner at all...I've been watching him during his shifts...seems really lazy. doesn't hustle back or move his feet unless he has a chance to get the puck. Go Hounds.
east/ AV game ended at near 2 am.. These guys got a long ways to go
Easts 1996 game from the record books is in jeopardy.. I think it was around 94 minutes.. This game is at 84 already... Less overtimes so far, but 17 minute periods instead of 15 .. So if it breaks easts record ( lasting longer than 10 minutes into the 4th OT ) It might as well shatter it and take us in the 6th or 7th OT

I think the person was referring to early in the game too.EHSHack wrote:Its the 7th period dude get real. The record for OTs was eleven but they were much shorter back then. As were the periods. If my math is correct, the 9:13 mark of this period should break the record. The East-Apple Valley game went 93:12. This one is at 84 minutes (?) through the third OT.crosscheck_this wrote:whats the record? #OTs/Year/Teams/Semis-Quarter-Champship???Nostalgic Nerd wrote:Lou on the OT's: "What can you say. re:
I have the majority of the AV/DE 1996 thriller on a VHS tape...looking to see if anyone actually has that one (or any other solid games from State Tournaments past) on DVD?

MNHockey75 wrote:Now that's more like it. Finally some good back-and-forth action. The refereeing has been a joke. 0 penalties? Really? Checks from behind, trips in the slot, goalie bowling. They better not call a penalty from this point on. Jim Kruger has been sensational. Can anyone raise the puck? We shall see. I'm calling Erik Baskin with the game winner.
