AHA vs. EP

Post by Listen2me »

Congratulations on all the achievements, I'm a firm believer that you should be proud of your Alma Mater. I graduated from Edina in the early 70's so i don't think you want to get into championships, etc. These forums are meant to be entertaining, informative and let's remember ( myself included) we are talking about 15-18 year old kids. With enrollment over 3000 Im not shocked by your claims of excellence in regards to EP. Heck I even cheered for them when they won state in baseball back in mid- 2000. For the record Edina owns 142 state titles.

Maybe if EP played # 7 for 80% of the game instead of 70% they stay within 3 of Hill now. If you can't find # 7 look in front of the opposing bench he's the one celebrating another PP goal. I agree EP has huge talent, but these kids have been playing together for 7-8 years. To beat Hill by one when Hill players were still trying to remember each others names I don't consider a huge win. I can see why it's "tough to be an Eagle" Has their been a community with more numbers that has as little to show ( at HS level ) than EP.
I find it funny how you make it sound as if "#7" is the only one that can score on the team. I believe that #28 was the one who scored the game winner against hill, who I'm guessing already knew each others names, and saying that EP only won by 1? A wins a win isn't it? Most people aren't gonna look back at a state championship game (Ep vs. Hill possibly) and say but they only won by a goal...
Yes.... and Holy Angels did beat Eden Prairie, by two goals actually. It doesn't matter what kind of talent they have on the team, it's about the consistency they can show game-in and game-out no matter who they're playing. Obviously this didn't happen in this game and EP will pay for, theres nothing anyone can do or say to stop that one. On the other side I'm still a little disturbed with the accusation that EP actually added shots to the board after losing. Does anyone have any class anymore?
Who exactly is this "EP" you are talking about that's padding the shot totals?

And talented teams go on the road and beat Hill. Or did you already forget that one?

Don't worry about those poor Hill Murray kids. They all know each other pretty well from their 7 or 8 years of association play together at WBL and Stillwater. Get yourself a clue pal!

Hey thanks, lm really looking forward to the remainder of the
season. Im a little concerned, really looks like I'll need "A" game
for each post. I wondered how I would replace Sid when he hangs it
up so this is a nice suprise.

You're welcome L2m. Actually, I'd say that you're almost Sid's equal when it comes to hockey!
