Chaska/Chanhassen won the Squirt C Championship at District 6, and were in the finals for the second year in a row in Squirt B. They had 3 strong teams in Squirt B this year, and if not for an really strong Edina group would've been the best, IMO. They got beat out pretty early on in the Squirt A Districts, but that was against the Edina Uber-Squirt A's.
Their approach seems to be to have smaller teams with only two lines, allowing them to keep only the best players at the higher levels and to give them lots of ice time. Time will tell if this is a better way to develop players than going with 3 lines.
What are some up and coming organizations and why?
