I stand corrected! The most amazing part is that the majority, if not all of these kids will still have mite eligibility. NB will have a very strong A mite team this year with a few very high end kids!
I watched the 03 Team MN boys scrimmage the 02 United team last night. Very one-sided in favor of the 03's. Good looking team.
told there were one or two more on both the Legacy, Gold and the
Blades(?)..... Might be 02's, but I believe they're all in the same grade.
No the two '03's on gold Offered to play on blades were not from NB. I don't think either of them tried out. There is also an '02 kid from NB on the gold '02 team that is still a mite this year.
Should be quite the group this Winter.

The 03 gold should have a good showing at the Walleye. Deep team with solid kids and solid coaching.HockeyDad41 wrote:I wonder if they'll be able to hang on to that talent or if the lure of the Brick tournament or 450 hours of training a summer will see some of them off to the Blades or Machine.we're all crazy wrote:Score doesn't reflect the play. Can not confirm or deny if coachmom's kid is on team minnesota as I don't know who her son is....
03 team looks fairly balanced top-to-bottom. Move the puck well, back check well. Not typical of an Elite team this young....missing the typical "coast-to-coast" individual style of play that you usually see. I was shocked to see the level of positional play and team work shown.
As a north-metro guy, it is fun to see what they are building at NSC with the Miracle Gold program. Concept is a little different from Blades and MM, so it will be interesting to see things play out.
There are 4 kids off the 02 Miracle Team on the 03 Gold team that is playing this weekend in the Walleye. The 02 Miracle/03 Gold Scrimmage would have been closer but the four of Miracle 03 kids were playing for the 03 Gold team and two other solid players from the 02 Miracle team were missing as well. The 02 goalie is very solid and makes a lot of hard saves look easy.
To clarify, that is the 02 Miracle United team that scrimmaged the 03 Gold Team

01 Blades are pretty much dominating. Beat Chicago Hitmen 5-3, could easily have been a 3-3 tie because of two weak goals, but they dominated play. Shots were probably 35-10 or something like that. Then they beat the Midwest Select Cougars 7-2. Should be #1 seed for tomorrow's games without any doubt.
Very tight team. Best AAA 01's I've seen this year, hands down. Small and fast and physical.

LOL, golly gee, I wonder if you are Blades parent. Lots of 01 teams are stronger but yes, they are a pretty good team.Shinbone_News wrote:01 Blades are pretty much dominating. Nope, just calling them like I see 'em. Why does everyone assume the worst or most self-serving about every post???? I just like watching hockey whether my kid is playing or not (he's not in the walleye). I guess it's foolish or unwelcome to post comments about interesting games unless it's me plugging your kids team?Pylon wrote:LOL, golly gee, I wonder if you are Blades parent. Maybe you'd be interested in posting other good teams that I should try to check out before the seasons over? I want to check out the Toronto Viper 02s tomorrow, they seem to be wiping everyone out. No, I have no kids in Toronto.

I actually am interested in solid AAA teams OTHER than the Blades and the Machine, would love to see one of these forum topics go into some depth about, say, the top 10 organizations in MN and elsewhere.
Interested in the MN Miracle Gold organization, but it's hard to ferret anything out online. I guess I need to start talking to other parents at the rink, and I may see them play today in the Walleye.
As more than one person has said here, AAA is such a crap-shoot. Most teams don;t even post their home arenas, much less their win-loss records (not that that's a great metric or anything, but it can help separate the real development programs from the "checkbook summer hockey" teams, or rather the invite teams from the open teams.)

Sounds like blades teams faired well. They won at 97, 98, 99, 00 , and 01'. Does this mean they are good or was the tournament not as strong. I heard 2 levels were Loaded but not sure about the others. I'd be curious.

All scores, all levels available here, except for Sunday's results for some reason:HockeyDad41 wrote:Anyone have the scores from the 02-03 level?
