I think that looks like a pretty good group of Ms. Hockey finalists. Congrats to all!

Congrats! Does Pannek top the list at this point based on what's gone on in sectionals this week? Any of the 5 very deserving.

When did/does the voting take place? That is, are playoff games included? I would assume not, since each player will presumably play a different amount of games and that would be an unfair advantage to some, so any playoff heroics are likely moot.

I don't know that Pannek is the best player on her own team. I hope team results don't sway the results much. Pannek has a stronger supporting cast than any of the other candidates. My vote would go to Rodgers.

Yes, Pannek's the best overall player on her team. Although Reilly is probably deserving to be on the finalist list too.

I also think Pannek's the most complete player on that list, narrowly ahead of Baldwin.

I must disagree.

I've watched them all and I would take Reilly before Pannek. I really do believe it's a "Gopher" bias in the final 5 selection.

I'm still hoping the selection committee has the courage to pick a defenseman because I think Baldwin deserves it.

As far as players making teams better, I still think Donovan. But I too might vote for Sydney especially after watching her this week. Can't choose wrong, really!

My two cents would give it to Baldwin. Several game winning goals, either in the third or O.T. Plus, you remove her from that team and they become a lot more average. (no offense)

This is more out of curiosity, but through this whole thread there has not been one mention of Nicole Schammel outside a stat sheet. Is she considered to be out of the race by the forum? Just wondering.

I think that anyone of the finalists are deserving. I would not count her out. IMO
