Steffen is not a top 5 in Mn, she is top 5 in north America in her age bracket( just ask Wisconsin what they think about her). The u22's are her next national team.massalsa wrote:you are correct. my bad. it's still fun to watch how versatile of a player she is, and how much confidence plays with on the ice. zero weaknesses in her game. if young defenseman out there want to see how the position should be played, go watch her play a few times this year. it is a must.Lace'emUp wrote: I am pretty sure she is a 97 birth year.
Young players should watch her play, and then realize they need to hit the weight room, she is the definition of a beast on the ice. Very fun to watch

Sorry to keep you all waiting, but just got back from this evening's Christmas Party. Since it's late and we had five big games on our final day, I'm not including game notes and will get right to the scores and contest results.
Buffalo 0, Edina 7
Hill-Murray 3, Dodge County 1
Breck 5, Red Wing 0
I’m grouping these three games together because they have one thing in common: All 27 of us went with the higher-ranked teams and, as it turned out, all of the favorites won, giving everyone at least a point for each game. Bonuses for correct scores go to: wolfman for his 3-1 call for the Hill-Murray/Dodge County game, and clutterbucket, panpan111 and hockeyfan87 for getting the 5-0 Breck/Red Wing score right. There were no correct scores for Edina’s 7-0 win over the Bison.
Eden Prairie 5, Wayzata 2
The votes were much closer for this Lake Conference matchup which ended, according to our group, in a bit of an upset. Just 9 of 27 thought the Eagles would prevail, leaving 18 without points. But there were no correct scores in this one, as everyone predicted a more defensive and tighter game.
White Bear Lake 1, Chaska/Chanhassen 3
Only 1 picked the Bears to win, and one other thought the two teams would tie. Of the 25 who went with the higher-ranked Storm Hawks, there were 4 who also foresaw they would win by a 3-1 score. Those four were: MN_Bowhunter, JohnnyBuck, u12dad and hugo_lucas. MN_Bowhunter benefited the most for her correct call of this week’s last game as it enabled her to finish in a 1st Place tie on the week…with SIX OTHERS...who were just a point ahead of SIX OTHERS! Clearly one of the tightest finishes that I can remember.
So, congratulations are in order to our seven girls hockey “Experts of the Week” who finish in a tie for 1st Place with 12 big points. Shown in parenthesis are the number of correct scores that each of our winners had on the week.
